I suppose you can say something like 'love' is free (?) but love hurts sometimes so how can it be the best? Same with friendship, or trust...

What do you think?

I'm just sick and tired of the ones that only have religion to back all their sh*t up because it makes them dangerous more than anything besides a weapon in their hands. They'll destroy anyone and for any reason it seems, they are taught not to care about anyone else but themselves. That's obviously why they have no respect for anyone else. And so this spiritually superior nonsense is used by them to justify doing crazy things to others which is flat out evil in action. Oh and is it fair to say that the Quran tries to justify evil so that followers can get away with it for the sake of gaining the upper hand? This twisted logic really gets me worried for these people.

I have never successfully taken a picture in macro mode. Often the subject is too blur.

I don't know what is the suitable distance between the lense and the subject.

Could any one please give me a tutorial on this?

I need to estimate the cost of proof reading a book.

But I am not sure how long it would take. Can anyone tell me how long does it take to proof read 100 pages of text, looking for spelling and grammatical errors (rather than factual errors).

"Logic (and therefore probability as a branch of logic) is not concerned with what men do believe, but what they ought to believe, if they are to believe correctly."(John Venn)
Do you think the quote is stating such an obvious fact that it does not merit repeating, or do you think it is stating an obvious fact that is commonly overlooked, and therefore, it merits repeating?
Setting aside the issue of whether or not the quote deserves repeating, does the conclusion of the quote effect the way you think about some of the more controversial issue we face today?

I'm looking at self-publishing a novel in the next few months. It's a bit like the Naked Lunch except funny. It's quite bizarre, quite obscene and quite geeky. Does anyone have suggestions on how I might promote this?

Has our species evolved to take more "responsiblity" of him self?

Have we "earned" more freedom from our instincts?
I mean we are of course limited by our nature, human nature, whatever all of it may be, but within that space of what it means to be human do we have some degree of freedom?
e.g. I can choose to go left right, I can choose to bang my head on the wall, but I cant be you for 5 min., I cant throw a rock to mars with my hand etc.

Do we have free will, do we have freedom?
Does a monkey think he has free will, or snail or stone?
How can we be sure of free will even within that small space of human possibility's?

Everything we do we do because thats what being human means, just like anything else, things just do what their nature at that moment permits them to do, just like us, right?
Now does a rock or a dog have free will?

Sorry for my poor writing, english is not my mother tounge.
