Not a paradox at all - there's no strange conflict going on with that concept. Everyone has a unique name for instance - everyone is the same in the sense that they each have a unique name, but that's all - the names are different, so the "similarity" is really very limited. The uniqueness outweighs the similarity by a wide margin.

If you take it literally...it can be assumed to be a paradox, however it is a little deeper than it sounds. Everyone is unique in their own unique way, therefore "everybody" can be unique and still be different.

Sure! Look at it THIS way; Say you have a box -containing an Apple, a Banana, an Orange, a Tomato, and a raisin. They're ALL "fruit" in SOME capacity or other- but they're each unique as well. So IS it a paradox- or is really nothing more than thinking outside the "box"? You decide. :)

No. You are unique for many reasons, your personal combination of personality, knowledge, and culmination of experiences. You are considered the same as everyone else due to the fact that everyone is unique, or different from everyone else. However, even if you share one quality with the rest of the world, it is one among an infinite amount of qualities that set you apart from others. There are of course many things you will share in common with certain groups, and there are twins who share a great deal, and yet they are still different people.

there is nothing really unique about human beings on an individual level. we all have similar biological make-ups and we all typically respond emotionally the same way to situations that are familiar to the human experience.
what would be unique about humans is how we would respond if taken out of our comfort zones and placed in a stressful environment or if we were removed from one comfort zone to another.
i think an interesting question to ask would be "if i was born to different parents in a different country with a different skin color would i still have the same personality", would my dreams, and motivations be the same. this is how i believe we would find out if we are unique.
i think in the end many would all realize that we are not that unique. that many of the prejudices that we have regarding others are invalid and that there is no need for our ego.

By saying this, you really mean i am a unique person, which consists of more than just that one factor (unique or not unique) but of the millions of factors of the human condition. You are not unique in this one fact, as you will not be the only clever, miserable, optimistic etc person in the world, but unique in your whole make-up as a person. Therefore, the two facts can exist logically together.

Save yourself a lot of difficulties in life.... simplify your thinking.
Yes, you're unique, an individual exclusively YOU.
No, not a paradox. Although everyone else is also "unique"... No one is unique in the same way.
Best wishes.

I saw that somewhere at school. How can you be unique if being unique is just like everybody else? Does that make sense?

A paradox because we all want to be seen as different yet we all want to be part of the crowd and conform as well.
