The unity is capable of infinite variation.
Of nothingness, nought may be said.
Zero = One = Infinity.
There is an infinity of differences between Nothingness and Unity. However, strictly speaking, a tabulation need not be complete. One might make a petite tabulation of the differences, and be content (or not) with that.
Presumably you are asking why it is not possible to make a complete tabulation of the differences, the answer to which question is surely obvuious.
I also wonder if in fact there is not an underlying agenda in your asking such questions as these, rather than a personal questing for understanding. If it is the latter, your answers will be better found through attainment of the experience of Nothing beyond the Something that is, and the Nothing which is the further Negation (or rather, annihilation) of that, than via intellectual strivings.

Because even if you count the tail as a leg on a donkey......the donkey still only has four legs! There lies the reason for the impossiblity of the tabulation of all differences between the condition of being or consisting of one: and, the quality or state of being nothing.

how will one be able to chart... Unity against some thing that "is just not there / present / exist"?____
take it in any respect... e.g. unity of the nation while there is no unitiy / peace in a single individual... how will the nation be united...
