I have never successfully taken a picture in macro mode. Often the subject is too blur.

I don't know what is the suitable distance between the lense and the subject.

Could any one please give me a tutorial on this?

Your handbook should tell you the distance at which the macro function of your lens is in focus. We can't tell you without knowing the model of camera you are using. Check that and, if still in doubt, use a rule to check. But also remember that at close distances the depth of field is very small and it is very easy to move the camera which will cause blur. Always, therefore, use a tripod. You must also ensure that the camera is, indeed, focusing on what you want it to focus on - that can be tricky, so make sure your subject is firmly within the focusing area of the lens.

try using a tripod or something stable to put on cause usually on macro the shutter speed is very slow. or if you still insist on holding the camera try to light up the subject as much as possible so that u can get a faster shutter speed.
