Cain. If the Earths population consisted of Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel and Cain Killed Abel, that would be killing 25% of the earths population.
However there were probably more of Adam and Eves children on the earth at that time but all that are mentioned are Cain and Abel. This plays out because after Cain was cast out by God he went to the land of Nod and married. Unless Eve was able to bare adults these people had been around for a while.

But I'm thinking that it's an ultra clever answer. Try Cain. He was Adam and Eve's firstborn, killed Abel. If there were only four humans on the planet then that would be 1 quarter exactly.
Edit: Damn it, someone was faster on the typing than I was. Lol, well at least I got the answer in second. This ought to be in the 'riddle' section, it's a pretty good riddle.
