Why do Muslims have to act so cowardly and deceptive towards Americans? The Western World?

I'm just sick and tired of the ones that only have religion to back all their sh*t up because it makes them dangerous more than anything besides a weapon in their hands. They'll destroy anyone and for any reason it seems, they are taught not to care about anyone else but themselves. That's obviously why they have no respect for anyone else. And so this spiritually superior nonsense is used by them to justify doing crazy things to others which is flat out evil in action. Oh and is it fair to say that the Quran tries to justify evil so that followers can get away with it for the sake of gaining the upper hand? This twisted logic really gets me worried for these people.

As some also pointed out, you cannot generalize everyone who believes in Islam under one notion of Muslim. Unfortunately, after 911, the notion to perceive Islam negatively has accelerated to the point where very often people carelessly see all muslims the same.

Before I go to rather complicated stuff, I will just say I taught Philosophy of Religion before and I know the Bible and Quran well enough; so just take my words. If you read the Bible and Quran; you'll know they are pretty much the same. Both do mention, for instance, Abraham, David, Virgin Mary...etc. In fact, Islam and Judaism are classified under Abrahamic Religion. With minor exceptions; they both talk about the same things like attitude towards adulterers, fornicators, idolatrers, alcohol...etc. It's just that those who have never read Quran tend to say Quran is drastically different from the Bible when, in fact, it really isn't so different after all.

Your view is concerned with Western world, so I must inevitably discuss a bit of Western World's history in relation of Christianity. Christianity has always been the bloodiest religion ever in the human history. Examples of that would be crusades or all the devices or methods for punishment in the past: they were all done in the context of Christianity.

Crusades would provide interesting historical evidence in that the antagonism between Christianity and Islam did not start with 911; rather it goes so far back into the history.

The notion that Western World being 'sincere' or 'humane' did not actually occur until late 19th century or early 20th century. (E.g. Colonization of Africa and West to South East Asia by Western World. They were all done in the context of Christianity.) What made the Western World being 'humane' was the rise of rationalism and humanism: which ultimately led to the rise of Atheism; and all of which contributed to the collapse of Medieval Philosophy that had long formed the foundation of every western society.

So at least from historical point of view, whether or not west was free of cowardly and deceptive attitutes towards outsiders is in question. (how you answer that is up to you)

If you just want to stick to say so-called divine scriptures (both the Bible and the Quran), they both include descriptions to dash and slay people of other religions. (They both also contain descriptions not to dash and slay people; or even be nice to them). Which verse (or sura in quran) is true is anyone's guess; but it has to be pointed out strongly that it depends on who sees more importance on which verse (sura) for what purpose.

Going back to your last question on if it is fair to say the Quran tries to justify evil. It's ultimately up to your view, but I also have to point out that both the Bible and Quran contain both admirable and beautiful things and most cruel things as well. So in my view, the right question to ask is if it is fair for anyone to quote an 'evil' part out of many verses (suras) to justify 'evil' actions without giving considerations to good verses(suras).

All of your arguments in favor of your proposition can be used to attack any number of religions. Just replace the word "Christian" where you see "Muslim" and you will get the point of what I am saying.
No religion is immune from the exact same statements being used against them.
Perhaps a redefinition might go something like," Why do religious zealots have to act so cowardly and deceptive....."
It may give you a whole new perspective on your current outlook.

I know and feel exactly the same. But please do remember not all muslims are bad. Unfortunately, majority of muslims think that rest of the world is against them. They don't understand why the world is against them? Its just because they do terrorist activities, kill people. If they stop all these bad activities, why would anyone treat them like this? Also, the Quran says "do anything for your religion" and they are doing. In London alone, there are nearly 250 cases of young Hindu kids forcely converted to Islam religion by threatning them like blackmail on drugs, rape etc. I simply don't understand why they want to dominate the world. Why can't they just live and let live peacefully. Their only motto is "world is againt us, so destroy them". What they are not understanding is that they are destroying themselves too. My friend, I don't think this is going to end. It ends only when rest of the world says "Islam is the best religion" and obey what Islam teaches, which is not going to happen. Hopefully.

all the muslim people i know are mpoderate and dont belive in the radical movement... fact has shown that some people who are illiterate has to depend on what they are taught by word of mouth.. therefore, the radicals have an advantage. i am christian,i live in a 95% muslim country, mixed with hindu and bhuddists, we all get along very well..cant blame all for a few radicals.
