when i was a kid in junior high , we had this class bully who would always pick on me and my friends. i stood back and did nothing because my martial arts teacher always told me , karma would take care of him. so one day he was picking on me and my friend , and some new kid who transfered didnt stand for it , and knocked him out , since that day i only belive that if some one dose you wrong you have to take matters into your own hands , and not believe in "karma" i would love to hear your opinions on this!

I am writing a book which is for my son when his daddy is no longer here. It is called Father To Son and it is a kinda biography/ family history/scrapbook. It includes a lot of tales and photos etc. I also would like to give him memories of music that makes me think of him and so far I have:
Father To Son.........By Queen............1974
Father and son........Ronan Keating....2004
What do you think would be would be a meaningful sentiment if it were your child and why?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

...But I can't find a good book on the subject!

I am seeking information on everyday technologies-- household chemistry, manufacture of goods, agriculture.

I'm less interested in the earthquake-detecting vases, water-clocks, and other "Gee-whiz" inventions, but if the book is good, I'll probably read it.

I want to investigate even further what the average man would have been familiar with, or at least heard of, insofar as tools and machinery goes.

No novels, please.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Okay well, my teacher said that it is called a walking advertisment, and I asked him about what I should dress up as to "represent" the Virginia Dare Bridge in North Carolina. And he suggested that, if I could find a construction hat and mabey a tool belt or something, that to just act like I "built" the bridge. But I don't know, I was kind of aiming for something else, like not as strange and embarrassing (we have to do a presentation for it, INFRONT OF THE WHOLE CLASS) *freaking out* but i'm not so sure what.

Any Suggesstions that are creative but nothing "dramatic and embarrassing" though, would be VERY VERY VERY HELPFUL !!!!!

THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR TIME AND CONSIDERATION !!!

As I'm someone who either thinks about some things too much, and then hurts people. Yet at times I dont think at all and the same result occurs.
I always try to do right by folk, but I always manage to screw things up.

Maude: What kind of flower would you like to be?
Harold: I don't know. One of these, maybe.(points to a huge bed of daisies)
Maude: Why do you say that?
Harold: Because they're all alike.
Maude: Oh, but they're NOT! Look. See, some are smaller; some are
fatter; some grow to the left, some to the right; some even have lost
some petals. All kinds of observable differences! You see, Harold, I
feel that much of the world's sorrow comes from people who are *this*,(points to one daisy)
yet allow themselves to be treated as *that*. (points to the huge bed of daisies)

From the best movie Harold and Maude

inside
no light allowed
mirrors cast no reflections
candles cannot burn
the door is locked
and i
like a fool
knock...knock...knock...
only silence
i wait
day breaks
again..and again...and again
i cannot surrender
i will give...
but not give up
what is the key?
where is the key/
knock...knock...knock...
i have become a sentinel
to nothingness
i am aware of your darkness
can you believe in my light?
