I have recently received "Heir to the Empire" from a friend, and this is 5 years after Return of the Jedi happened, is there anything in between that I should read? Or is this the bonafide next chapter, like, Chapter VII if you will?

put yourself as laura and you are going to write a letter to jim, knowing that it will never be mailed, how and what would you say in that letter. I understood the other characters, but laura was more or less , less defined . so I am bewildered, so if you could help, I would appreciate it .

If you hate Harry Potter or you don't care, please don't bother answering my question because I'm not interested in your answer. Thanks a lot.

To HP fans: I've heard that two people will die in the last book...and if the prophecy is right, someone must die for the other to live, and I was wondering that maybe both Voldemort and Harry will die?? That would be a horrible ending, but pretty reasonable...

I'm still so sad for Dumbledore, I know it's stupid but I can't bear the thought of Harry dying, really :))
I feel like it's such a mean reason for the writer to kill him off just because she doesn't want to write any more books about him (that's what I read in a newspaper though).

Any ideas or information?

I love the story "The Princess Bride". I own the Goldman 'good parts' version. It also includes the first chapter of "Buttercup's Baby". I've tried so hard to find that book. But my friends say that it was never written. Was it? If so, where can I find it? If not, then why would Goldman invent a book never written...and leave off with Fezzik dead?!?!?

You can go to any restaurant you choose, that is not
really the question. It's a fantasy: Who would you
choose from the following? 1. Ernest Hemingway
2. Robert Kennedy 3. Miles Davis
4. Georgia O' Keefe 5. Carl Sandburg 6. Jim Morrison 7.
Humphrey Bogart 8. Bill Graham(the producer)
9. Mahatma Gandhi 10. Jim Bowie ... all these
people are deceased, guess you knew that .
Please, no comments on alcohol, I've read
enough of those just today.

Ahhh, I'm thirteen years old, and I've been drawing for quite some time and most admire my illustrations at this age, but time has caught up to me and in some time my drawings will be considered mediocre. I'm a huge fan of anime and I want to bring my style up to that type of professional level, my drawings are inconsistent and there are a lot of misshaped, unbalanced portions, I want some sort of style that will allow me to be able to draw the same thing over and over again. Could someone hook me up with some web tutorials on drawing good anime-influenced characters or recommend a book or something like that, I really enjoy drawing in my spare time, but there is a lot of room for improvement, my style isn't what I want it to be right now.

I'm looking for specific books that discuss the possibility of using computers/technology to upload knowledge of some sort (e.g. "how to fly a plane" or "how to speek Greek") into a relatively normal human brain. I am NOT looking for situations like in The Matrix where the human brain has to have been adapted since infancy with built-in mechanical parts in order to recieve these programs.

I prefer "hard" sci-fi that tries to have some kind of logical discussion of the phenomena, but I'm open to any suggestions

My boys would like me to paint flames on the walls of their playroom. I'm looking for a website that shows simple flames to draw (mind you I CANT draw). I have looked at a lot of tatoo websites, but dont have the money to buy any of their pictures. Any suggestions?
