Time, patience, and a change in the heart of the one who's love is unrequited.

The truth is the "love" you have for another is not what hurts you. It's the expectation of that someone returning love to you.

Give up the expectation, the demand, that this person love you back. If you still feel a loving feeling for this person, then you're love is real and may some day bare fruit. However, if all you can dwell on is why this person doesn't love you back, you're dealing with the realm of a crush or desire. (Not the same thing as love.)

There is no instant cure. But you need to realize that you are feeling emotions that can numb a person into doing and thinking things that they would never think about normally. The cure is to leave the pain, pain, don't replace the pain with hate as many people do nowadays. This causes you to replace feelings with emotions. Stay as positive as you can. Try and find an activity or some motor function that gives you at least some relief. Time is all around us and this will past.

Last time I went through this Three Days Grace came out with the song "pain" and it made me realize that even though love hurts it is better than feeling nothing at all. Pain in a way reassures us that our feelings are still intact, it the natural way to keep mankind striving to better themselves.

I know none of this helps right now but Find that one thing that picks you up and put your feet back on the ground.

Good luck

Understanding the phenomenon, and realizing that you are causing yourself "the pain", is the cure. Whenever not getting what you want causes you pain, it's most assuredly only your fault, based on your faulty "perceptions". This is a "sad" truth.

The sooner you learn to understand how your mind and "expectations" will lead you into a life time of drama and anguish, unless you take the necessary steps to cure this "pathology", the happier you'll be. Red Wine and Vicatin.
Honestly time seems to be the most reliable cure.
Activity is a healthy help, try to keep from being idle. An idle mind is a wandering mind and that mind will travel to places the even Steven Spielberg cannot get us back from.

"I have found the paradox that if I love until it hurts, then there is no hurt, but only more love. "

"The success of love is in the loving - it is not in the result of loving. Of course it is natural in love to want the best for the other person, but whether it turns out that way or not does not determine the value of what we have done."

Mostly Time. Although finding someone that reciprocates your feelings does wonders too.
