why do some peolple brainwash young children with the notion of creationism?
I'm form the UK and recently saw Jesus camp on DVD. I believe what I saw on this DVD constituted as child abuse. Any Americans out there agree?

This type of southern state, bible belt mentalilty, with the introduction of religion ruling politics, is how things are done in some middle Easern countries!! Religion and religious fanatics should be kept out of politics.....or Amerca will turn into Afganistan

I have an assessment task concerning that. We READ Oscar Wilde's play "The importance of being earnest" and then watched the film version. We now have to do an oral report on how meaning changes when form of a text changes. I have absolutely no idea how to go about doing this... What i have now is:

"How directors interpretation and/or actors execution can either enhance or detract from a scenes emotive value, therefore effecting the emotive value of the entire film"

It's hard because... How does meaning change from READING a play (your OWN interpretation) to seeing a film version? - Meaning of WHAT? I seriously just don't get how I can write about this. Any answer at ALL would be very much appreciated

Alexander of Macedon although a Greek did not make any distinctions bettween Greeks and ''barbarians'' (foreigners). In a time of war,brutality,slavery he delivered a speach which despite being spoken almost 2500 years ago is still considered modern and unique. I would like to know what is your opinion about this oath and how progressive it was by that times standards or even by todays.

How can a pure mind be tied up with matter full of evil. How can these two opposites come into rrelationship wit each other?
In referrence, all prominent philosophers agreed that matter is is spontaneous, thus a seat for evil.
Setting aside Descartes' controversial theory of dualism, please explain the relationship between pure matter and pure mind in the general idea encompassing broad inclusion of everything in existence.
