I don't wanna hear from anyone that says Nelson Mandela.

Mine is Mohammad Ali because he stood up for what he believed in when he refused to join the US army in Vietnam.

Just a name and a very brief explanation why will be greatly appreciated.

David Lloyd George

Came from a one-parent family, English was not his first language, grow up in near poverty, became a lawyer (which in itself was amazing), became a PM, then Chancellor, as Chancellor brought in the embryo of the welfare state and the National health. Before then if you lost your job or were ill there was only 'going on the perish'. Minister for munitions in the WW1, then became PM and laid the foundations of winning WW1. This was the style that Churchill used in WW2.

To this day he is the only person to have held the post of PM who,
1/ had English as his forigon tongue
2/ came from a really humble origings
3/ a true man of the working class.

I do not care if you do not want anyone to say,Nelson Mandela, but this I will say,if it was not for the courage of Nelson Mandela, blacks and other non white ethnic people will still have been deprived of their rights and were they choose to live, not being allowed certain jobs that were exclusively for whites only, being arrested if they used whites only places and enterances to public places and being second class citizens in the land of their birth voteless and no say in the way the country was governed,This man Nelson Mandela had the guts to defy the whites only government laws and rules, even at the cost of dying for the rights of his people

In the world of sport whereby people are looked upon more for their financial status rather than their humane givings my annoyance is too many people are greedy & envious - Your choice of Muhammad Ali is my second choice as he is the only person that has transcended sport - what a man !

My choice has to be Winston Churchill - with the deliverance of words & a hard ambience about him he lead the "sane" parts of the world to freedom from the evil of the nazi / facist axis

I can't say that I have just one because there are so many heroes, but unfortunately most of them are not recognized all over the world, I admire people who put their lives on the line and fight for freedom, and for the people. I don't know much about the heroes of real life but I admire King Arthur from the legends and Cloud Strife from the fictional life, because he fights for everyone he cares for.

Despite of the excruciating pain he was feeling, that didn't stop him from realizing his crusade till the time of his death.

Nelson Mandela, whether you like to hear it or not. It is worth my honor saying his name.
