28 year old female here. I'm looking for some books to read I guess along the lines of "chick lit", but I'm definitely not big on Sex in The City type stories. Looking for books about intelligent females and their ups and downs. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!

i hear about these great huge fires in history, the london fire, the washington d.c fire, etc, but it makes me wonder how the hell they put it out. i just find it hard to believe that a pail of water from the wishing well would put a fire when even today we have trouble putting out those huge forest fires out and california that occur without much warning, then again, we still don't know how pyramids were made either......

The boy is snowed in all winter. Learns to be self reliant. Not at all sure of the author's name, although I think it started with a K and is 2-3 syllables long. Author also wrote several other juvenile boy's books.

I have a 8 megapixel digital camera that takes video, I'll be using that to film. I need to be able to splice graphics, film and sound together. Any tips, software recs and ideas would be appreciated.
Oh, and does anyone know where I can get good quality clips of commercials, fashion shows, tv shows etc that i could get into it as well?
And how would I do that?

So I can analysis the literary talent behind it? As an aspiring writer I need to absorb the true greats, and Tolstoy was first!

Smoething historical is preferred, and on an epic scale- but exact subject matter is unimportant, just the authors style.

I am taking acting lessons in Humber college in 2008 in september.
After I am finished I will need to build a portfolio.
I know I have to get headshots and shots of me for my pictures
but what else do you do for my portfolio?
