After I am finished I will need to build a portfolio.
I know I have to get headshots and shots of me for my pictures
but what else do you do for my portfolio?
is there a certain place where people can help you with that???

A very good source of information is Backstage.com. Aside from everything you listed, I'm assuming you are also including any acting project/show you've done and who directed....Keep track of your acting teachers, any actor's of distinction, directors, choreographers, highlights.....you're on the right track. You don't say whether this is for stage or not....I'd imagine if you had clips of yourself from film productions you could include those with permission....Every company requires something a little different so just be flexible. The general resume usually never changes but you can find out formatting info at the above address.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Models have portfolios, NOT actors. You will ONLY need an 8x10 (Black and White) headshot (not a portfolio). As a former Talent Agent, I know agents want to see a strong acting resume.

Did you get the "portfolio" information form Barbizon or John Robert Powers?

In New York City, Agents want you to be a strong actor and perform well. If you sing, they want to hear a wonderful singing voice. I don't know where you got that idea about a portfolio. Actors have NO USE for a portfolio!

If the lessons mentioned a portfolio, they would most likely teach you how to compile them. But in my experience all most auditions ask for is a resume and headshot. I recently took several different head shots from roles I played and put them on the same sheet with my "audition head shot."

In 35 years in the theatre, I've never seen (or needed) an actor's portfolio. (It's different for designers, obviously.)

What do you need? A good recent headshot that looks like you currently look (or more than one, depending on your agent's recommendations) and an honest resume of roles played and your skills.

Oh. And talent.

That's it.

Try www.hollywoodauditions.com and www.fabjob.com- I think that is where I got my portfolio information.
