We moved from the south almost a year ago from a place at sea level. We now live on the side of mountain with rock formations and wildlife galore. We live at almost 9000ft.Its beautiful here and we have a ranch with many acres of land to do what we please with.A real western rural setting.I have always dreamed of living in a place like this .I have moved around alot in my life never really feeling at home but once before we came here. Now we live here and my mind can't except this as absolute home.I look outside sometime and its like looking at another planet so foreign to me but other times I feel so much a part of the place. In reality Its seems we are on a long vacation and its going to end anytime and I dont want to get to comfortable.Whats with this and why cant my mind know that im home forever?

I'm taking a beginners ballet class next semester in college. I think it looks fun but, some people are trying to persuade me not to take it because it is really hard dance to learn. Is this true? Is ballet hard to learn? Why?

It would have been published within the past 5 years. It is about human in the far future who are making use of a technology that allows them to travel thru portals to other areas of the universe. I cannot remember many details other than there was another race that was discovered whose entore planetary system was trapped behind an impenetrable barrier until we opened it by accident. They then tried to attack us and some of the creators of the portals used them to defend the human race. We had also discoved a way to regenerate the human body and mind so that we were pretty much immortal. Also, at the end of the story a main character was on a raft that was about to fall off of the edge of an unknown planet he had ended up on. There is a sequal to this book that was published at or around January 2006. PLEASE HELP!

Mine is Bambi by Felix Salten. It's very dark and not light-hearted like the Disney movie... TRUST ME. But I love it all the same! :)

Hey guys.. I'm actually new to this forum but i was wondering if i could get some help hunting down a book.

Here's the situation.. A couple YEARS ago.. my girlfriend mysteriously came across a book, and, she being the avid book reader she is, opened it up and started reading it. The book is now her favorite book and she wanted me to read it.. but after trying to find it, she came to the conclusion that she must've lost it. I've never seen her so down before.. as if she suddenly had this void inside her. The thing is.. the book was so old and tattered that it was missing the author's name on the cover.. no publisher, nothing. She just mysteriously came across the book, and likewise, mysteriously lost the book.

The ONLY thing she knows about the book is that its called "Honestly". I don't believe its the one written by Gene Gach, because from what i've heard, she has also been looking frantically online for the book and the one by Gene Gach isn't too difficult to come across.

Is anyone else out there tired of the shrinking literature collection and the growing video & pop-book collections in libraries? Perhaps it's just in my library, but it seems to be lacking the classics.
