I remember watching Oprah (embarassingly) and they were all raving about it but for the life of me I cannot remember the name of the author. Anybody know the author?. Anybody read it? What's it about?

It's called "The Fantastic: A Structuralist Approach to a Literary Genre". Thank you. I know I probably won't find it, but I desperately need it and I had to try. Thank you.

Great poems? Not "the best", because that's always too subjective - and with me changes regularly.

Give give titles/writers, if you can't be bothered to type it all out.

And, PLEASE, no thumbs-down - that's not in the spirit I intend (thumbs-up are ok)

My starter? "somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond" e.e.cummings

If you have an idea for a movie (i mean an actual new movie, not some daft idea or existing movie re-hash) who do you go to to discuss it / is there anybody to talk to about these things?

I do a bit of writing but i write in the movie style (script) rather than a novel style, and therefore find it hard to get published.

The concepts / storylines are good (recognised as such by the publishers) but are in the wrong format for a book, yet ideal for a movie.

Does anybody out there know of a place that accepts new scripts; or better still a place where the concept could be discussed with 'an actual person'??

Didn't know about it until I checked out wikipedia. Her books are really awesome, the "Adrian Mole" series in particular. Is she totally blind and what does "registered blind" mean"? Thanks.

Why do we exist? has it occurred to you to ask yourself that is is possible that there might be "nothing" at all. I believe in God, that He exists. It is possible too that there is no higher being over us, that there's just nothing. Do you get what i mean? Why is there such a thing as Earth, the galaxy, the universe... is there anyone who's thinking about the same thing.

I read it back in school during the 1980`s.It concerned a semi-devine hero who had one golden arm and his companion who was a "twice-born" something that rendered him immortal. All I can remember is that it featured stonehenge and seemed to have it`s inspitaion in British and Irish Celtic myth as well as the Norse sagas.

Is their any act that one could commit that would not be selfish, without thinking it could be beneficial?
for example:
I make friends because they benefit my sense of worth
I do good to others because it I think it benefits my soul
I do bad things because they seem like a good idea for me at the time
