We're getting there, although I'm looking forward to some Soma and all the casual sex.

I think the fear of living in a "Brave New World" has been blown out of proportion. A significant theme in that book may be eugenics, which is when science designs the human components of our society. I think hysterical voices in the media have exaggerated those fears. "Brave New World" is a good book. It highlights the problem with mass conformity in our society, which is bothersome today. Nevertheless, I have a sense that the major bother in the USA today is not eugenics or fears related to government intervention in cloning but terrorism. The Huxley book fails to picture terrorism as a problem in any significant capacity.

I haven't read the book, but I read all the responses, so I have a general idea. The other day, I read in my local newspaper, The Toronto Star, that government in the US, has already started "micro chipping" Alzheimer"s disease patients. Also patients in "mental" facilities, this is in order to "find" them if and when they wonder off the grounds or away from the facility. The newspaper article was skepticallyly, and am very, very skeptical. I won't be around in 30-40 years, but many of you will. I just wonder if this is the beginning? What next? Micro chipping "newborns", to help with "Amber Alerts". and if you read and know anything about certain parts of the Bible, you will know that God has had it written, that anyone who allows they body to carry any "foreign objects", shall NEVER see the Kingdom of God! Watch out in your "own" Country, it has already started.
