I was just wondering... how did the United states got involved in the world war 2?
Was it just because of the bombing on Pearl Harbor or was there another reason to it?

I've been questioning existence, and so much of it does not make sense to me with the presence of seeming paradoxes, absurdities, conformity, and the idea of meaninglessness. I really do feel empty a lot, withdrawn, and I try to get myself to feel better but eventually I retreat to this state. My grades are deteriorating, and I do not feel like doing much of anything. I feel against my school system, and I'm questioning whether what I am learning has any point. I feel like I want to talk to someone, but when I tell my parents or sister about my perceptions they get puzzled, they think I'm 'weird' or they just get frustrated. The only person I can think of talking to is my teacher, since the class is actually one I respect since its English and isn't so structured, but I just don't know how to approach him or ask him. I just feel too nervous to do something like that, and I'm scared he'll tell my parents or get others involved.

I recently went to an amateur art festival. This one exhibit had huge panoramic canvas pictures of landscape photos (taken with a digital camera). Up close the pictures looked like oil paintings, but they were actually digital photos printed on this canvas as art. The pieces were expensive (around $800). The girl said she took the photos on her digital camera herself, had the pictures professionally developed, and then printed them on the canvas herself - in house. These pictures were huge. There were panoramic style and were about 30" x 48" (2.5 ft x 4 ft). The canvas was attached to a wooden stretcher frame for direct hanging on a wall w/o need for a frame. I was wondering if anyone knew any more on this subject. Is there a special name for this process of digital photography onto canvas art? What kind of printer is used? Where do you get the pictures developed? What else is needed for this process? Starting costs? Where can I go for additional information on this subject?

I was looking at an answer to a question i asked earlier and i need some oppinions on something.

One of the hardest things to do when writing a book is know what will best keep an audience. Sometimes you write a scene (movies are the same way), and then the editors go in and say .. this wont work... this is too much... this should be changed.

I'm sure authors think the same way.

But what is the best way? should I put in everything i can think of then send it to the cuting floor? or recreate as i go?

Has a movie or a book ever changed your life on any type of level, especially on a large scale? An actor/character in a specific movie is OK too. And how did this movie/book/actor/character inspire you and how does it change your life now?

Each & everyone of use have something inside of them that they hate.

It aches with in

We can't describe it

But we all have it

We wake & face our days with fear, doubt, & uncertainty from what will come.

Some lie, cry, or fight about this thing inside.

We all want, need, & search for more & more.

It's never truly enough.

I believe were all never satisfied.

We may say we are, but that is just a lie.

Deep down inside you know you want more.

Instead you tell yourself "I'm just fine how I am."

A few weeks later your telling your self "I want to be more this I need to become this"

Life is but a cycle.

It may be because I am young.

From my days on this earth, my mind has been this cycle.

I say "I'm fine"

Then a year, week, or even day later, I'm down thinking to myself "This isn't enough?"

I'm creating myself each day.

But is it just me…or does everybody get fed up with making more…

Sometimes…I want to just stay the same & not deal with life.

Then I get bored, & begin thinking more & more of everything.

I get depressed.

I feel weak.

I act cold.

Then the next day I wake having all these new thoughts.

More words more thoughts

More **** to deal with.

Life's a *****

Sometimes I don't want to deal with it.

Call me selfish, weak, or anything else.

I am sometimes…

But ****…

It's hard when you don't have a lot.

So **** you….

Hell...

**** this life…

That's what I think…

Suicidal thoughts…

We all have them…

We're all ****** up…

So let's all just live….

No worry's, doubts, fears…

One life…

Why waist it on pointless thoughts…

It's all simple…

If you just be…

Who ever the hell you are…

Flow on threw life…

In the best way possible,

Laugh, smile, grin…

Cherish, love, give,

Live life…

Don't let life live you…

Did you think the movies were good if you saw them? Did you think they left out any important parts? Did you like or dislike any changes they had made from the book to transition into the movie (i.e.- the "importance of Arwen"). Just want to see what others think out there. thanx.

Ok i think that HP is a horcrux 'Niether can live while the other survies' semms to be a clue to why LV would want to Kill HP. Maybe LV had something of Godric Griffindors when he was in the Potter;s house about to perform The Killing Curse. But the spell backfired and destroyed the last horcrux, LORD VOLDERMORT HIMSELF! But with the magic of the other horcruxs still in play, he was not killed. Yes i know that in The Half Blood prince, Dumbledore said that LV was the last soul they must attack, and that is y my theory makes sense! Ok now onto my other theory, the Death Of Proffesser Dumbledore. i think that PD was a pheonix animagas and is reborn in the 7th book since pheonixs rebirth a little after they die. Or Snape didnt really use Avada Kedavra on PD, but instead PD took the Draught of Living Death, then in the 7th book, Snape or Harry will find this out and shove a Bezoar down his throught. Also, Ginny will go with Harry even though they broke up. Feed back welcome. 10 points to best answer

Why? is the only question that has only one word. It cannot be answered by a single word either. (Because! is not an answer to that fundamental question). It cannot be answered by another question. Can you try answering this question? Think of anything. Even a blank page is ok to me! :D

how accurate is the story of its destruction? Is that what really happened? Is the reason why it hasn't been restored because of religious beliefs such as the coming of the Messiah (a belief in Judaism as I understand it)?

Also, do you need a primer? I have a white gesso and usually place an acrylic base mixed with matte gel-paste over it. Can I use this? Should I use egg yolk and honey with a liquid base or what is a better resin?

I feel like, looking at a picture of myself that was recently taken when I didn't know it, that I should not even be seen in public because of how HORRID I look in such a candid photograph!
Why, when there are people like Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron, and Salma Hayek in this world would any guy give me a chance? Or...there are just plain naturally pretty girls out there that should be content with themselves...but it feels like in society those that aren't semi-attractive should be especially pushed aside and not acknowledged for their talents. Fame is 70% looks, most of the time!!! It's so frustrating and discouraging. At times, I feel that I could accomplish so much more in life, that I could be so much more respected if I was a teeny bit more attractive. I've been called all of those nice adjectives once, but ahhh, it's hard to feel great when you feel like hte least pretty person in a room. Why is our culture arranged this way? Why aren't we more loved for our inner qualities

Look at this slideshow and tell me how they made these pictures. Specifically what kind of light they used... I tried it with a flashlight, but I couldn't get this bright white light they have. Please give me any insight you have.
