my fiance was married 21 years b4 i met him, hes been divorced 4 years, he has to pay her 1,100. per month, he makes good money , but has no money, he gives it all 2 her-alimony! They have no kids 2gether. She just inherated a large amount from a family member, she got the house which she sold for 650,000, got a 35,000. vehicle., receintly retired, and opened a business (which is in her sons name) lives in a rich part of California. She is financially secure. Does anyone know the laws in California? Do we have a chance to lower or stop the alimony if we take the money grubber back to court? She also gets 1/2 of his retirement when he retires in 12 years! or untill she remarries!I know we could ask a lawyer, but my guy thinks we'd be waisting our time. I say pay the consultation, or ask my yahoo family for advice. can anyone give me an answer.? (she's the one that said she wanted a divorce, she fell outta love)

I need to cover the whole book with my thesis, not certain parts of it. If anyone has any suggestions on even what to think about when writing a thesis that'd be great. I can take it from there.

P.S.
I know that the book talks about plenty of things, and that he primarily reacts against Leibniz, but my teacher keeps telling me that really he is saying "work out in the garden" as opposed to all this philosophizing which leads to nowhere. I however find that he's satirizing human foolishness in general, making fun of philosophy, church, armies, and love. I think he is saying that this world could be the best of all possible worlds if people actually went out and stopped doing things that don't benefit people.

When Romeo reads the list of those invited to the Capulet party, he sees that Lord Capulet has included "My fair niece Rosaline."

Wouldn't this make Rosaline a Capulet? Is this why she has spurned Romeo? He doesn't list that among his complaints about her behavior in his conversation with his cousin Benvolio. But wouldn't she be in the same situation as Juliet--mortal enemies with his family?

I've always wondered about this.

By the way, in the F. Zeff. 1968 production, isn't that Rosaline at the party we see just before Juliet steps in? I love the way the music builds as Romeo is looking at this girl (Rosaline?). She suddenly steps out of the way, and he sees Juliet behind her. The shift is clearly marked with an abrupt change in the music.

Thanks for helping me clear this up.
