These are two entirely seperate matters. What do you want to know about British railways (I assume you mean generally and not the organisation that lasted from 1948 until privatisation). There have been literally 1000s of book written about all aspects of the system from earliest days until the present. As suggested by the previous answer try Wikipedia for the Agricultural Revolution of the 18th century.
