I need fresh ideas for a series of studio art pieces I need to draw... Any ideas of what I can draw or which types of media I can use? Thanks :)

You can find any random picture off the internet and change it and make it abstract. Just make sure you pay attention to your design elements (spacing, lines, shapes, etc). Usually those pictures end up looking awesome. My friend did one with vases, and she did a whole set. They turned out great. But... you should get your own ideas. You can ask others for suggestions, but still, you should come up with something by yourself. Anything could work. You can even turn a still life into an abstract piece.

As for medium, personally, I like charcoal. But if you want to add variation.. or color... color pastels work, acrylics, oils, water colors are beautiful. Print or etching could work, too. Mm.. stay away from graphite, though. I'm assuming you need to make slides. Well even if you don't need to make slides, graphite reflects and distorts the paper from the pressure and yeah.. it's not as great for actual art pieces.
