I wrote it about my crush.

You opened me up
when no one else could
You made me like water
when i felt like wood
You made me believe
impossible things
You made me walk water
and fly with new wings
You make me feel special
like no one else can
Don't know whether this is conicidence
or some secret plan
You're like my angel
My guiding star
I feel I can call on you
wherever you are
You make me strong
To fight all the fears
Or when I am down
you wipe away tears
So when I'm alone
and feeling deprived
I'll remeber you
and know I've survived.

I'm not actually going to give him this.

I need to know if the narrator is the master (garden owner) or someone else that isn't in the story. I'm very sure it is the master, but my all-knowing english teacher says the narrator is just a voice.

I read this book like...way back in seventh grade i think, and i cant remember the name of it. It's about this girl, i think she is Russian, who ends up in a concentration camp in Siberia. eventually she is put into this house with a lot of other people who share one room, and some people from a local village came once and gave them food (watermelon i think) so they would survive. she eventually ends up meeting someone, there was something about a dance in the village or town, and she tried to buy a red dress but some other girl beat her to it at some point...
I have really vague memories about this book, but i remember loving it. if any of you know what this book is, please let me know! thanks!

No, I'm not speaking about a book on mafia;)
I'm italian.
I'm in search of some novel (or other fiction) about law related subject/themes (no handbook, essays or similar).

Grisham is ok, but he's too oriented to criminal proceeding.

This has not to be a modern book with modern terms.
Yes I want to become familiar with US and UK law and legal terminology, but for curiosity, not for a practical purpose: so some old classic of main stream literature also (ex. "Bleak House") will do.
Thank you

I once had the original (which was quite large) but seem to have misplaced it somehow.

What is machiavelli's perception of epistemology? Plato says that people cannot trust the senses, Aristotle says that we should trust the senses; what does Machiavelli say about the best way to learn?

Please, if possible, include the locations of any sources within either The Prince or Discourses.

Philosopher Hume pointed out that we have no underlying ‘personal identity’ beneath or behind these perceptions and feelings which come and go.

Do you agree that when you look within yourself you do not observe a “self” in addition to the perceptions and feelings that you observe within yourself?

If you agree that you do not observe your “self” in this way, should you conclude (with Hume) that you do not have an underlying ‘personal identity’ but that you are simply the “stream” of perceptions and feelings that you observe within yourself?

Seems like there is no reason for anybody to be here - it's kind of a circular argument. Why help others who are here to help others who are here to help others...?

I looking for some interesting opinions. I personally think is Erich Von Manstein, since he participarted in Poland, planned the 1940 France offensive, captured Sevastopol, and led his army group pretty effectively even when they were being overrrun by teh Russians. But I woudl like to hear fromo other WWII fan who thinks otherwise and why.

Please don't post that the best general was Rommel because a)Hollywood told you, b) the Brits thought so, or c) he commanded the Afrikakorps. The same goes for Patton or McArthur.

Thumbs down for anybody who posts Montgomery as the best, unless you really have a good reason to change my mind on this guy.
