I am Nobody! Who are you,
Are you nobody too?
Then there's a pair of us - Don't Tell!
They'd banish us you know

How dreary to be somebody,
How public, like a fog.
To tell your name the live long day,
To an admiring BOG!!
~Emily Dickenson

I like this poem, because Emily was asociety cast out, she had different views that to society would be looked at as un- lady like. I a way she was a patriot of poetry. No one took her seriously, because her writing style was different.

Well This is how society views me. I hold a peice of this poem close to my heart, and I think it's right. I would rather be nobody to the masses, then have my life all over the media.

My favourite poem is 'Mirror' by Sylvia Plath. Most people don't get it at first but I think it's really powerful. Mirror I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions. Whatever I see I swallow immediately Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike. I am not cruel, only truthful- The eye of the little god, four cornered. Most of the time I meditate on the opposite wall. It is pink, with speckles. I have looked at it so long I think it is a part of my heart. But it flickers. Faces and darkness separate us over and over. Now I am a lake. A woman bends over me, Searching my reaches for what she really is. Then she turns to those liars, the candles or the moon. I see her back, and reflect it faithfully. She rewards me with tears and an agitation of hands. I am important to her. She comes and goes. Each morning it is her face that replaces the darkness. In me she has drowned a young girl, and in me an old woman Rises toward her day after day, like a terrible fish.

My favorite quote is:
" Life is hell all by it's self until we come to the conclusion that it will never change and until then we can never be truly happy"

To me it means that life is hard and at time it is hell! After we realize that we can't always change thing we can give it up and and move on to be happy.

I like it because it is the truth. I love quotes that don't lie to us!

I wrote it :)

Have a good day!!!

p.s. I also love the quote "Make Love not War" it simple and means to love people and don't hate others! ( my husband and i made it up)

my favorite poem right now is one i worte titled moving on
You always whispered in my ear
and I trusted your words to be sincere
I gave to you all my heart
But in the end you tore me apart
When that night you hung up your phone
My mind started to drift and zone
Thinking back to the times we had
some were happy and some so sad
walking together hand in hand
listening to our favorite band
then the sadness hit my soul
the taste of food became so dull
hours turned to days the days into weeks
and I no longer felt lonely and meek
then today when you passed by
we exchanged a friendly hi
it’s then I realized I was fine
and my heart was finally mine
believe me that it’s no con
when I say I’ve finally moved on

" I am the master of my own destiny" is my favorite quote. The reason for choosing this quote, is because no matter what others may tell me to do, the final choice is mine. I know that I can do anything with the help of GOD. I think that it was William Shakespeare.

(starts 'Natures first green is gold, her hardest hue to hold...'

kinda means the same as beauty is only skin deep or stop and smell the flowers

This is one of my best poems
Ive even memorized it
But I really dont know who wrote it

In my life were I did so well
I met this guy I loved so well
now he took my heart and set it free!
1 day he sat a girl on his knees
and told her things he never told me!
so I broke down and cried on my bed
and not a single word waz said
..................
late that night my father searched 4 me from left 2 right
he broke my bedroom door
& found me hanging by a rope!
he cut me down with his knife
and on the floor a note he found......

Dig my grave dig it deep
marble stone from head 2 feet
put my heart from up above
2 tell the world I died 4 love!

Quote....."None of us knows what the next change is going to be, what unexpected opportunity is just around the corner, waiting a few months or years to change all the tenor of our lives."--
Kathleen Norris
I have this hanging up at work. It reminds me when things seem bad that EVERYTHING changes and you just never know what is ahead! :-)
