I just started reading it last night. I've never read one of his novels before. It seems pretty good, however, my question is, is there always so much dialogue in the Spenser novels? Being a writer and seeing so much white on a page makes me wonder if I should be writing more dialogue instead of description. Not that I'm sayng I dislike his way of writing, because the story has caught my attention.

What did you think about the novel?

In one part the lights go out and the poltergeist puts hats on everyone. "Hats, Hats, Hats"... "Everyone should wear hats." Or something like that.

I'm looking for a book title about a young female protagonist who lives in a world where a virus (I think) wipes out all the adults in the world and leaves the children to fend for themselves. These children begin to form gangs of sort and try to build castles and empires in this empty world. They begin to turn on each other and such, like in battles for power. The young girl takes control of her area and begins to build fortifications at the school I think, building an army to defend against the other groups. A minor character that I remember is a person called the "King of Chicago," but was only mentioned a few times.I wish I had more details, but I read this book back in 6th Grade, so I wouldn't know. A book title or author name would be helpful, thanks again for your time!

I took my first ballet class recently and absolutely love it!! I've had previous dance experience, and I'm on the dance team at my school, so that helps with some of the technique and stuff, but are there any basic things I should know or be aware of as a beginning ballet student? Oh, and I'm also trying to lose some weight to look better in that leotard...any ideas?? Thanks for the help!

Does the premise upon which a given opinion may be based have to be validated or can it be a plausible premise in some or most cases? Would it still be as logical as an opinion formed from validated premises? Put more simply, should you have to prove the reason for you opinion with actual examples, or can plausible ones suffice?
