No, I'm not speaking about a book on mafia;)
I'm italian.
I'm in search of some novel (or other fiction) about law related subject/themes (no handbook, essays or similar).

Grisham is ok, but he's too oriented to criminal proceeding.

This has not to be a modern book with modern terms.
Yes I want to become familiar with US and UK law and legal terminology, but for curiosity, not for a practical purpose: so some old classic of main stream literature also (ex. "Bleak House") will do.

I have not read them, so I don't know how interesting they are, but I do believe Anthony Trollope wrote some books involving lawyers (19th century). Also, some of the detective series had stories involving court cases.
