We humans, the more we get the more we want. The farther we go the farther we want to get. Like we always want more and more. Rich people want to make even more money. Famous people want to be moe famous. When we get something good we want something even better. We always want more and we base our happines in getting that. How far can you get? how more fortune can you make? But will it matter when you're gonne? When your life is over?

I might be wrong and I'm only 16 but I just wanted to hear your opinion. lol.

Thanks for answering!!

Have a great day!!

Okay, I am in AP English and we recently read the book 1984 by George Orwell. For an assignment, we had to relate the following Shakespeare quote to the book:

This story shall the good man teach his son / And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by / From this day to the ending of the world / But we in it shall be remembered / We few, we happy few, we band of brothers / For he today that sheds his blood with me / shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile / This day shall be his gentle condition.

I am not good with Shakespeare, so it might as well be written in Greek. Can anyone relate this quote to the book?

Freewill is not the limited ability to make a decision, it's the ability to make ANY decision and to make a decision without a catalyst. The only act of freewill is an unconcious decision since the world shapes our conscious. What's so complicated about it? You say you have a choice because of freewill, but you did not pull your conscious out a magic hat, it was forced on you. If I never had the ability to choose the ability to choose then that is not freewill.

Me and my friend are going to do a debate and we would like to broaden our research and ask Yahoo. Thank you to those who answer truthfully. We also are looking for more facts and pros to banning books. Your opinions are your own and if you think books should be banned then say why, If you think they shouldnt then say how come. Thanks again!

I've never intentionally destroyed a book because it would feel wrong. Is this just a weird psychological hang up or do other people feel like this?

Seems like every other commercial on television these days is for antidepressants. Kids are bringing guns to school and slaying half their classmates before killing themselves, others are shredding their shoulders, stomach and thighs with razor blades. If your child turns out to be just goth or emo, you breathe a sigh of relief! The rich have therapists and doctor prescribed happy drugs, the poor have alcohol and weed, we all have issues, emotional baggage, psychological disorders and, of course, depression. Why is american society as a whole have such a high depression rate compared to any time in history?
