well first you need to know we are made up of many cultures. the govt gave us one name due to one language. darn us spaniards lol!

why here. because when the spanish who forced the language on the rest of the americas but the north and brazil, they settled in new mex quite heavily. the culture moved outwards from there.
now, there is spain as well. the motherland lol! and cuba, and the caribbean. take your pick. phillipinos often pride themselves in being mixed of spanish blood as well.
