This wont be easy. After the war the Government sponsored thousands of migrants. In 1945 70,00 migrants were planned, but only half wanted to come from Britian. From 1947 to 1952, 171,000 displaced persons from all over Europe arrived; firstly from Poland, the Balkans and the Baltic States, but then more from Greece, Italy and other parts of Europe. If you know where she lived on arrival, you may find some shipping records online.Ask your relatives for as many details as the have to help in your search. Good luck!

Unfortunately trying to find people in Australia can be quite difficult. If you knew what part of Australia she emigrated to and the names of her sons might help. You could then go to http://www.genseek.net/index.htm and select the electoral role for that State to see if their name appears. Good Luck.

Look her up in the Australian White Pages on line. I found my wife's brother in less than 2 minutes. I just guessed the right city right off and Bob's your uncle, there he was.

If you believe your Aunt is still alive or any of her sons, use the Australian online telephone directory found at:
