You find that most modern painters have objects in the foreground which are smaller than those in the background. The colour tones expected to be in the background under the rule of perpective, come of in the fore. Tall buildings appear like boxes on the canvas, without linear pespective.

I am curently in the process of self publishing a children's book and have reached the point of setting up my royalty... I don't want the book to be very expensize, so I will be setting the book rather low in the 7.50 to 9.99 range. What do you think is fare for a 48 page, rhyming, dr. seuss like, illustarations on every page.. paper back - 6x9 edition children's book. Feel free to check it out if you'd like on my website... www.johnnydepalma.com

Thanks in advance!

It's from the scene in Harry Potter 3 when he is walking with Lupin in the woods, the butterfly flys across the screen and there is AN AWESOME flute part to the scene. I've looked almost everywhere.

I don't want the Warner bros. book for kids, rather the orchestral part that the flautist is actually playing.

PLEASE HELP!

How do you portray this without going over the top? Just how subtle can it be between two characters walking on an empty darkened stage with only a warm spot? What body language would you use?

I need a book that will tell me what certain things symbolize. I am writing a few pieces for a writing class, and it would be helpful to know what certain words symbolize. For instance, rain, black mascara, and many other things. Is there a book like that? If so, PLEASE let me know!!!

What's over that tall building,
Is it just plain blue sky,
Or is it the heaven promised,
By the tall building itself.

If you would all walk with me,
We would be gone by now,
We'd be over that tall building,
Instead we're crammed inside.

My image is so vivid,
Though no one else can see it.
For people use their eyes much more,
Than their unlimited sized mind.

It could be another living hell,
And the whole world could starve,
One thing that's more precious than that,
We will not be alone.

After a long hiatus from (very amateur) performing, I'm thinking about applying for auditions again. Many of the audition listings refer to an H/R. What is this? Thanks!

Why is it that people who normally want a book banned for some reason are always the first to admit that they haven't actually read the book?
In this day and age, why can't people make informed, educated decisions through careful research and thought rather than relying on hearsay and fear??

I have what I thought was a limited print/ sketch but I have been told by someone that knows a tad more about art than myself that it is a lithograph. When I looked it up in the dictionary though it just says 'a print produced by lithography' ???
