I am curently in the process of self publishing a children's book and have reached the point of setting up my royalty... I don't want the book to be very expensize, so I will be setting the book rather low in the 7.50 to 9.99 range. What do you think is fare for a 48 page, rhyming, dr. seuss like, illustarations on every page.. paper back - 6x9 edition children's book. Feel free to check it out if you'd like on my website... www.johnnydepalma.com

Thanks in advance!

Sorry about the misspellings... I'm at work and shouldn't be on Yahoo Answers at all. Thank you for the great suggestions so far... I am curently able to set the price, so an actual number would be very helpful. And there will be hardcover's available, however their prices have already been set... I just need a price for a soft cover versions. Thanks

Johnny D.

Sure, that sounds fair. But you should probably learn how to spell children first...

Nice website!
I agree with the other answer - it should be in hard cover and you should price it however the publisher suggests to you because they are the experts in the business and know what to charge for books. If the book is very nice and has nice pictures - you will get what ever you are asking for it.

You should probably sell in hardcover. I don't think people buy too many children's books in paper back because they need to be more durable.
