By PAST I mean past failures and bad events you can't shake.
By FUTURE I mean goals that "drive" you. Or maybe big plans.

You're going to be stuck, alone, on a deserted island for the rest of your life. You have a decent general knowledge of fieldcraft, plant identification, and survival skills (including basic field first aid) already in your head.

What ten HARDCOPY books would you want to take with you? And your rationale? (No, I don't want to hear "The Complete Book of Shipbuilding!")

For what it's worth: a "book" would be only about the size of a nice big study Bible or encyclopedia volume, so you COULD have a "complete Shakespeare" or "collected Dickens" in one book----but not the complete Encyclopedia Brittannica, sorry.

And for everyone who's familiar with the old Twilight Zone....no funny plot twists....you can presume that your eyeglasses will hold up just fine!

Just wondering what all the bibliomaniacs here would choose....

To explain what I mean: Laurel K Hamilton is known for writing vampire books with a lot of sex scenes. None of this innuendo busines either, they actually do it. However, her books are in the Fantasy section of the bookstore, not the "Erotic reading" section which may have the books from Blue Moon or Nexus, the major porn lit companies.

What other authors produce non "sex-genre" books that still have a lot of sex scenes in them?

I gives good reason why Christ might have actually been born in 1053 and was cruxified in 1086. It tells that John could have only written the book of Revelation in 1486, due to the similarities of his symbology and the zodiac of the time. It talks about how the classical era never existed. It says that the ancient lunar eclipses were blatantly wrongly dated.

I'm not sure what to think of all this. I'm thinking of buying the book, but I want to know if anyone of intelligence has read it and thinks it's a load of crap before I do.
