I have been doing some research for a history project on the New Guinea campaign as part of the Pacific war, and have found several good resources published in the UK & Aus, but all of the American books seem to ignore the considerable efforts of Aus forces in SW Pac. despite the fact they virtually held off, and then repelled the Japanese single-handedly, especially in New Guinea until reinforcements from the US came to their relief. I am not suggesting we could have won the Pacific war without the US, but no books from the US properly acknowledge the skill, courage and determination of the Aussies at Kokoda, Buna, Wewak, the battle of the Coral Sea etc. MacArthur even had to apologise for saying Aussie troops were lazy after they repeatedly rescued beleaguered US forces. Americans need to show more awareness and respect for their allies....
Can you explain to me why they have such an inward looking view of history?

I have been struggling to get my book published and so few publishers accept fantasy. Do you know any? Please, you could save my dream by just writing down some names or websites. I have looked almost everywhere possible.

I've always been obsessed with acting but have a bit of stage fright. I'm planning on going to college next year to take as many acting classes as possible. Aside from all that... I have a few talents that would help in acting, such as voice impersonations, accents, good memory, and line delivery.

Voices I do well:
1. Stitch from "Lilo and Stitch" (I'm 29 and I believe I do this perfectly.)
2. Kermit the Frog
3. Beavis and Butt-head (confirmed by everyone I know as the best they've heard)
4. Ludo from "Labyrinth"
5. Taco Bell Dog
6. Scottish accent

...and many more. I've been trying to get noticed since I was about 10 but have been too busy with life itself. I don't have much of an income and I don't want to see my talents go to waste and never be seen or heard.

I am not a human, nor am I an animal.
I have eyes, but cannot see,
and I have hair that you cannot comb.
My brown skin has several layers but this seems a paradox,
because one is smooth and the other is hard.
My skin protects my soft white flesh;
and within my flesh is my opaque blood.

What am I?

I want to find the Paradis family ancestry, where we originated, what we did long ago, etc. but every site I visit insists on me paying some outragous amount for information and a certified "family crest on tooled leather" or other such nonsense. If anybody knows, I would be very thankful.

The pope refered to comments made by historical figures and other popes in the past , such comments had negative things to say about the prophet of islam and about the islamic faith. What if the pope refered to the hundereds of hostile remarks about the jews made by so many popes several centuries ago . Would that be anti semetic behaviour , or a an action of hatered and it would require a t least a smiliar fuzz as that made in response to the comments made by mel gibson? or would it all be a matter of freedom of speech?
