English! Reading, writing and all that good stuff! I might be a little biased (I did go to school to be an English teacher) but reading is essential to any subject, as someone already pointed out.
Also, writing is very important because we are judged on how we write, our spelling, grammar, etc. You could be the smartest person in the world, but spell check isn't going to catch everything! Having good writing skills is important to almost all careers and proves one is well educated.

Never under estimate mathematics very useful when the power goes out, very useful for life (bank loans, budgeting etc) very useful for everything really.

depends on which country u r in... some in england is english. others in china is chinese, taiwan in dialect, hong kong is cantonese, thailand is thai etc etc.
