If God spoke to you one day, and he said he was going to destroy the world because of how patheticly bad the whole human race had become, and then said he wanted you to make a big box where he would store representative samples of all living things He felt were worth saving--would you do it? I doubt it.

He did what he said and Noah did what God said. The real hero part, however, is that God spoke to the best human he saw. I don't qualify, do you? That makes him especially special.
