Hi, I am in my last year of school in college and am presedent of a music sorority. Next week we are going to induct new members and have a lot of fun during or pledge and after pledge week. During all this our sorority has hired a hypnotist to perform and as the presedent I will have to volunteer and get hypnotized. I am really worried about this because I don't want to embarass myself and am worried that hypnotists could take advantage of me. Has anyone here been hypnotized and knows what it's like? Does it hurt and does it make you all suggestable afterwords? Or..is it just a lot of fun. I want to have fun next week and participate but...this nervous I doubt I can. I appreciate any help.

i am taking a philosophy class and everything the teacher says about the "theory of ideas" goes right over my head. Can anyone explain it to me in the easiest way possible? Just try your best and if you have any good sources to help that would be great, too.

I in 10th grade and my 2nd year in marching band. Even though it's alot of work to be in marching band, it is an excellent experience to go through. Last year in band camp, i was a freshman and was a little worried about band cam, but once we started to learn the drill and music, i knew that it was gonna be easy. For those of you who don't know, our field show was titled Pirates! Myths and Legends. This show won us numerous 1st place trophies and we even made it to the SCSBOA Championships and earned a 5th place. This year, our show is titled Pandora's Box and it will even be a bigger hit than last year.
I go to Indio High School and hope that some of you know about us. what was your experience for marching band last year, and for this year coming, and what was your field show?

As amateurs we often wonder why a certain painting is critically acclaimed and we try to make sense of it. Suddnely, someday you come across a particular artwork that changes your perception about art. I am an artist myself. My perception and views were shattered when I was stunned by the work of Man Ray, Vincent Van Gogh, Salvador Dali, and Andy Warhol. These are my favorites.

Man Ray packed a cylindrical glass tower with marbles. He packed the lid and named it 'New York'. Dali painted the memories of his dreams, the melting clocks. Share your experience of your moment of realisation, your shift of perception in terms of art.

Tell us who you appreciate and what you like in particular about that artist.

If you're an artistic person, please visit my blog.
