Hi, I am in my last year of school in college and am presedent of a music sorority. Next week we are going to induct new members and have a lot of fun during or pledge and after pledge week. During all this our sorority has hired a hypnotist to perform and as the presedent I will have to volunteer and get hypnotized. I am really worried about this because I don't want to embarass myself and am worried that hypnotists could take advantage of me. Has anyone here been hypnotized and knows what it's like? Does it hurt and does it make you all suggestable afterwords? Or..is it just a lot of fun. I want to have fun next week and participate but...this nervous I doubt I can. I appreciate any help.

Ive been hypnotized and oddly nothing happened?But I was Just as worried as you sometimes it works but most likely it wont.But I wish you the best of luck with it!

Hypnosis is not scary if done for betterment of the society. Ethics be followed strictly. It becomes scary once used for personal gains and greed.

You can only be hypnotised if you want and it DOES work I have a video of me being hypnotised and yes if it's for fun the you will be made fun of but you won't remember it. It feels very relaxing and it can change your life.(stop smoking eating less etc.) My mom smoked for 20 years+ and got hypnotised she stoped for about 6 months wth out one and didnt need one.
You will no do anything you dont want though so dont worry.

I myself would not want to be hypnotized. In fact, I don't think my mind would allow that to happen. I have always heard that a hypnotized person will not do anything that goes against their principles.

Do not do anything that you are uncomfortable doing, and yes bad things could happen, do not be pressured into this, have a back bone and say no!
