Anybody familiar with medical terminology who can help with a story I'm writing?

I'm writing a story, and I'm stuck on a scene in which a couple of paramedics are attempting to save someone. As it stands, it's not very believable because I'm not all that familiar with medical terminology. So, I'm looking for the assistance of any nurses, medics, etc..

The scene is this: A man is bleeding to death as a result of slicing both of his arms from elbow to wrist. He's lost consciousness and his pulse is fading fast. Two medics arrive and do their thing. What would the paramedics do in this situation? What would the conversation be like?

Anyone with more knowledge about this stuff than me, feel free to toss in your two cents. Any tips are appreciated.

In the meantime, I'm off to see what I can dig up on the internet.

Don't You?

Don’t you love the diversity in life, here in the internet, among us? The differences between groups of people down to each individual? I just learned to appreciate that when I answered this question “What is the saddest (as in geekiest) question you have ever read and answered?”

And this was my answer:

“Geekiest would be ‘how many kg of potassium should be added to blah blah water to freeze?’... I was like ‘just put it inside your freezer…’:p But the saddest would be ‘will I ever see my beloved again?’ I felt his longing for his loved one, coz I've been there, and so it almost made me cry.

I just realized how Y!Answers makes me feel alive by evoking different emotions in me through the questions of its memebers. And just a while ago, I encountered a question ‘I like being creative blah blah blah, how about you how do you express yourself..?’. It reminded me of my artistic side, taking a break from answering geeky questions. And there's even a poem I read which was really beautiful and which I could relate to. It makes me a complete person to deal with the different aspects of life. I love being in Y!Answers :)”

Why does dating always have to be about race?

I am puerto-rican. I would like to date an asian guy but it seems like they always stick with their own. I barely see any white guys with latina girls either. Is their any race (besides fellow hispanic guys which I've dated plenty of) that would be interested in dating a latina? Or will it always have to be about my race?
