Like how JFK's secretary's name was Lincoln and Lincolns was named Kennedy.

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Well, they were both presidents. But I've never heard about Lincoln frolicking in the White House pool ( or anywhere) with his secretaries or an actress. Of course in those days there was no White House pool, and from what I've heard of Mrs Lincoln she would not have put up such improprieties.

Unfortunately, whalegirl's answers contain a number of inaccuracies. This is explored at http://www.snopes.com/history/american/linckenn.htm. However, it is true that both were presidents, both did lose children while in office, and both had Vice-Presidents with the last name of Johnson, who each succeeded them when they were assassinated. Other than that, they both have similarities and differences along with the other 40 men who served in that office.

Both assassinated in the 60's, both had children who had died, both had assassins known by all 3 names, both have 7 letters in their last names, and many others.
