No doubt Frankenstein. It's been by far the most addictive book that I have ever read. I couldn't put it down! Especially when the creature tells his tale. It's such a simple tale but you really get into it because you end up feeling for the creature.

Dracula, on the other hand, was BORING. I still can't understand how that book became a classic? I usually love classics. I couldn't even finish this book because it was full of boring conversations about some sick girl in bed. Sure, some scenes were interesting and I'm sure I'm not seeing the greatness that so many people loved about it but for me, greatness should be obvious and Frankenstein is obviously great.

Dracula. In my opinion Frankenstein is just awful. It's so slow starting out and it doesn't get any better as it goes on. Dracula keeps you interested most of the time. I will admit Dracula has it's slow moments but in the long run is a much better book than Frankenstein. Not to mention Dracula is based off of a real person and that just adds to it.

Honestly that is not a real question. Frankenstein was written over a weekend by a teenage girl and it is one of the great storys ever written. It is a true classic and should be read by every grade school student. Dracula was a pretty cool book to read if you have spare time.

Frankenstein. It is a book that deals with human nature. It shows how people truely react in certain situations. The book also It deals with human emotion and how people really react when they meet someone who is different from what they are maybe it be the way they act, think or look like. The book also deals with the fact that man cannot accept idea of dying and wants to find anyway possible to live for eternity while playing the part of G-d.

I personally think that although Frankenstein has a pretty cool story line, it's really very repetitive. I mean seriously "The monster came towards me. He was hideous and he was coming towards me. I really can't believe that I made this thing that is so hideous and is coming towards me. He is STILL coming towards me. and he is very ugly. and I made him. and he's coming towards me. Still."

OK, slightly exaggerated, but it felt like that. Dracula was much better written, and I don't fall asleep while reading it. So, better storyline, probably Frankenstein, but Dracula was better to read. and a ell' of a lot easier.

I prefer Frankenstein. It is a novel that only gets better with each reading. It is much deeper than one might ever suppose upon first glance. I agree that it should be required reading. (In fact, I've been assigned to read it at least five different times...but as I said each time I read it...I learned something more about it.)

define better ? to me its apples and oranges ,dracula has a dreamlike quality to it and frankenstien has that grain of truth in it that it could happen eventually so by horror i have to say frankenstien a better read i have to go with dracula but in the end i have to go with frank as just the tone of it captures the essance of horror more than drac
