It is a defect in language that words suggest permanent realities and people do not see through this deception. But mere words cannot create reality. Thus people speak of a final goal and believe it is real, but it is a form of words and the goal as such is without substance. The one who realizes the emptiness of objects and concepts does not depend on words. Perfect wisdom is beyond definition, and pathlessness is the way to it.

The wise one treads this path for the direct realization of impermanence and for the direct realization of understanding. This, then, is perfect wisdom. Such a one should tread this path knowing that attachment and attractions are neither good nor harmful, even enlightenment is neither good nor harmful, because perfect wisdom is not meant to promote good or harm for that person. However, even though there is no intention of good or harm, it does confer endless blessing.

I dreamt last night that I got a temporary visit to Heaven. I went up, it was cloudy and beautiful and all, and I saw my grandma and mom... problem is, neither of them are dead. And the visit was not by God, because I wanted to get out of there so I could one day be up there. Another problem was, it seemed a bit boring. But that could've just been the way my grandma and mom wanted it to be up there...

I am hoping someone can help me out. I was talking to my friend who is not Mormon and he brought up a question that I am now wondering. I don't know enough. We were talking about he strongly believes in the bible and how everything relates to todays time. I told him the Book of Mormon was written in the same time and how it relieves similar things about Christ on the North American Continent.

This is what he said "Where are all the artifacts from that period of time? Places and artifacts are found time and time again relating to the bible. But where is the proof of the Nephities and so forth?"

I know the golden plates the angel took but there would have to be something a piece of clothing or pottery dated back to that specific time line. What proves the book of mormon is real to a non mormon other then telling them it is blind faith?

I made this up on the spot, I am bored. Feel free to critique, but nothing deliberately mean. Thank you!

The sun shines over head.
The trees rustle.
The street moves with life.

My head spins.
My pulse throbs.
I feel too full of life.

With books, my iced tea,
Maybe some dry cereal.
I take in the world...

The cars pass by.
The stars begin to show themselves.
And still I sit and wonder.

Life goes on.
We seem to have so much of it.
How can life stop for someone?

Nature is too great.
I don't want to stop living.
So I sit and take it in, I sit and live.

The bees buzz.
The flowers bloom.
The sweet smell of grass wafts in the air.

Life eventually ends.
So I sit and live while I can.
Until the phone rings and I go and live in a different way.

I listened to the Life of Samual Pepys on BBC7 and heard the reference to the affair he had with A Betty Martin and also that he suffered from serious Eye problems. It rang a bell of the phrase which I used to hear when I was A Kid in Liverpool many moons ago and I wondered if the two were linked.

I've just noticed that the points system in Yahoo Answers is exactly the same as trying to make money in real life. The higher up you are, the easier it is to get more.

Level 1 users are restricted in the number of questions they can answer, thus restricted the number of points they can get in a day. Level 2 users are also restricted, but not as much, as are Level 3, 4, and 5. I THINK it's level 6 or 7 that there are no restrictions, so they can make as many points in a day as they like.

When your poor, it's very difficult to make any serious money, and there are restrictions to everything you do. When you have a little bit more money, it's SLIGHTLY easier to make more and so on and so on until you get rich.

Once you're rich, it's EASY to make LOADS of money. Once you're a Level 7, it's EASY to make LOADS of points.

The exception to this is when you are poor, there's always a (slim) chance that you can win the lottery. Maybe Yahoo Answers should have a weekly lottery?
