I think books with a lot of depth just can't make it in the movies. I love Greg Iles and his books are great, but the one attempt to make one of his books into film (24 Hours) was a disaster.

I love the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child and think they would make great movies. They are fast paced, have great plots and you wouldn't have to cut out any of the important stuff. I do think the book Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin would make a good movie and I believe it's been optioned to do so...now I'm just scared they will mess it up.

Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination by Helen Fielding would be great (however, it reminds me a lot of the new Woody Alan movie that is coming out....or I guess the movie reminds me of the book).

I also would love to see another remake of Mill on the Floss

Twilight by Stephenie Meyers should definitely be a movie.

Another series I'd like to see as a movie would be the Uglies trilogy by Scott Westerfeld.

The Lightning Thief would also make a great movie. It would have to have lots of special effects...but it would be good to see on the big screen.

i gotta agree with Quester, But the Problem is no matter how good a book is, or even how bad... Hollywood utterly destroys it, so i can say that any book by Robert R. McCammon (Best author ever to paint his visions between the cover of any text) is much better off not being Picked up by hollywood. although i hear tale some enfglish production is filming "blueWorld"

There are a lot that come to mind, but if I had to pick only one I would say King Fortis the Brave. I think that would be awesome.
