Groups demanding a crackdown on illegal immigrants gathered before dawn today at a north Phoenix day laborers center, and shut it down on the eve of the day Arizona's new employers sanctions law takes effect.
The center's operator, Salvadore Reza, told the few days laborers who were there to go home. That triggered a shouting match between Reza and the demonstrators, led by a group called United for a Sovereign America. ``Merry Christmas, Happy New Year," Reza yelled at the demonstrators who yelled back ``We love America, and Happy New Year to you, Buddy." Rick Galeener, with United for a Sovereign America, said the demonstrators would stay at the day labor center, near 25th Street and Bell road. ``He (Reza) wished us a Happy New Year, we wished him a Happy New Year. But, we're going to stay here to let the contractors who driev by know that they are not supposed to be picking up illegals," Galeener said.

Does anyone know the real story on this guy? Everyone said it was a 'steal' for the Pens get him 20th in draft, because he was highly rated 6 months or so before the draft, but now I'm not so sure.

Thoughts?

He has been cut from the Canadian WJC team at least twice (if not thrice). Makes you wonder if he has the stuff to make it in the NHL.

Also, he is regarded as a 'soft' player. Nothing wrong with that, but the last thing the Pens need is another softie.

I know he's still young, but I'm thinking the Pens maybe should have drafted someone else in the first round.

My wife just turned 35 in april. Everything was normal untill we got a new toy for her. it was larger than the first and feel more real. since then she seems to be hornier than she has ever been. we have been together for 13 years. is this just her peak coming on or is it the new toy?

Last time I checked the relation of the Earth to the Sun either being closer or farther away has more to do with this than anything we do i.e. orbit. I am for a cleaner planet but taxing me for so called "green house emmissions" solves nothing until the likes of China and India not to mention Eastern Europe clean up their acts. All of these so called models predicting the future can not even 'back cast' past weather patterns and we know what the weather was like 100 years ago so who do we believe Al Gore a life long politician with an agenda or the scientist no intemidated but the Global Warming crowd? Who benefits? Who gets more power over our lives?

I would like to find a website (I tried and no luck) that tell about the new laws going in effect 1-1-08. For California. I just heard that cars will no longer be able to park on the street with For Sale Signs and would like to read this new law.
