As you know this is something I'm dealing with right now, my heart is broken but my beloved friend is suffering. And this is when I have to ask myself what's more important, me or her? I put her up there with losing a family member, and my grief is just as bad as the day I lost my Grandmother. She won't be there for me to talk to or pet anymore. She follows me around the house all day long and she lays at my feet every night waiting for me to get up and go to bed. This morning we went to the vet and found she has bone cancer so right now I'm giving her pain medicine so my children and I have just a few more days with her to say good-bye. I have cried buckets of tears because just knowing what I have to do is killing me inside. Her time is up and the suffering will be over in a few days.

OMG yes, a beloved pet IS PART OF THE FAMILY ALWAYS. No diff than a sister , brother. I mourned for two years over the death of my hearing dog BUDDY. I could not get over the dog being gone. I depended on him to let me know when the phone was ringing, and for some many other things . He was EMBEDDED in my HEART so deeply. It took me over 2 years to find another dog that even came remotely close to him. But, my Sadie is my gift from God. The loss of a beloved pet is horribly hard on the heart.......but remember, your pet has crossed the RAINBOW BRIDGE and is now with other members of his species and with GOD!

OH, YES! yes, our Poodle, Pee Wee died after 11 years. I was still crying 5 months later, everytime I thought about him. He was sick for 3 days, then died. They say get another one, soon, but I couldn't. So my family got us a puppy right at that 5 months, and you are so busy with the puppy, you tend to not think about the deceased dog so much. Don't get me wrong, you miss your other dog the same, but don't think about it so much and it gets easier to get it thru it. Good luck!

there has been many tolls trough out my life and
never have I fallen to act upon The miracle's
of life or all the blessed Sacraments I fondly held
That fell from my Mothers Tongue
and the Day anyone disrespect;s that PRIVILEDGE
IS THE DAY THEY WILL BE MARKED AS Bastard
Ihave not lost one thing the earth turns in too light and
falls intoo darkness and if you do not know to life with that
belifth then what good are you
WHAT MAKES YOU THINK
no matter what you do it does not return back to you,,
FROM SADNESS COMES HOPE AND FROM THAT COMES PEACE..
and if you go to shed a tear shed it for the INNOCENT
those entitle and those whom depend on you
and we all make mistakes to become stronger
but never blame it on those as you have had many chances
that you use as excuse by blaming it on others
So better you become as born and to die in that same peace
MY MOTHER AND FATHER WE TOOK CARE OF THEM AND TODAY MY CHILDREN TAKE CARE OF ME
and their children children
from the teaching of my mothers tonque
and i will tell you the truth this is tradition
and respect for whom you are
the rest is behind closed altars and no one climbs
that step as that is closed on too its Cross in my own palm
after Death I have never been an enemy to anyone
and that is because i put fear of respect till i get
what or whom i chosen to Follow when you home is clean from out side for the republic and it is filthy from dust inside
NO PERFUME WILL HIDE YOU
well my body is my first and last home and so is my
Children body and Souly
they all have their altars and took all but the bed
and they left and no i would never pick them up
if they fell they go to there Sibs

My wolf, Tennessee. We bonded tighter than I ever have with a human being....sounds strange, unless you're a wolf-person.
Happy, Happy!

Well....my immediate family never had pets of our own....except for fish in our pond, and the parakeets we used to breed....but one of the times I remember crying hardest and longest was over the loss of a dog which belonged to my aunt. I was eleven years old at the time....and this dog was 3 years older than I....so she had always been a big part of our lives during the summer. I should add that I only spent around 6 weeks with her every year....but my younger brother and I were particularly close to her. To be honest, I did pick myself up fairly quickly afterwards....but it is not an experience I would wish to repeat.
