I'm studying outside the US, but I'm planning to get a job back there. Do i still need to study again there in US to be allowed to take the professional licensure examination?

I'm an electrical eng'g student. Actually I'm only a sophomore, but I'm getting worried on what's going to happen to me when I go back to the states.

Thanks. .

I have a liquid-in-glass thermometer that will record the min/max temp that it experiences (a six's thermometer). But it only goes to -40F. I need a similar glass thermometer to use to record the minimum temp in a place that could go to -80F. I've found a few alcohol thermometers that will read that low, but none of them will store the minimum temperature (by way of the small index that floats in the column).

I read that canadian weather observers have ones that will record a minimum down to -94F, but I've yet been unable to find any such instrument.

It is a Pacenet Cat 5 cable connection (i.e. this cable now comes directly to my desktop LAN card). However, I want to share this with my notebook. What is the easiest way to do this? I am not sure if a Hub would work ? Do these connections work only to a particluar LAN card? (i.e. tied to that LAN card)
I am thinking of buying a hub, but need to be sure, before I spend the money.
Please suggest.

People will eat too much, drink too much, spend too much then complain too much. Lol Suicides increase, depression increases and so does crime. Road rage predominately plagues the mall parking lots. People are not as productive at work and don’t take work as serious. They spend more time shopping online then working.

I know I sound like scrooge, but really, have you ever stopped and wondered?

I asked from a secular point of view - what was the ultimate goal of life that religion hinders.

Many of you mentioned religious people "bothering you" and spoiling your fun or your own personal freedoms being violated etc.

Are you saying the ultimate goal of life is all about the happiness and quality of life of the individual? I'm asking you to take a broader perspective - isn't it true that religion bonds communities together with a common belief and a common morality? (If you fail to see the value of this, think about the value of our young being raised in a stable home & being taught to respect other members of society, not to steal or kill etc.)

Further, isn't it true that in the long run, religions that encourage reproduction and charity and "love your neighbor" and so forth are more valuable to the survival of our species than your individual liberties and freedoms?

So in your mind, what exactly is humanity to strive for that religion hinders?

As an actor and Musical veteren, I tend to spend most of my time with people who love the genre, but as I read review after review of Tim Burtons film adaptation of Sweeney Todd, almost all of them preface or end the review with "I/Most people don't like Musicals..."

My question is, why is this? Are people not willing to suspend their disbelief for a few hours and go with the idea that people can spontaneously break into song? Personally I think REAL life would be a lot better that way, but I digress.

Anyone here willing to delve into the human psyche, put your finger on the pulse of society, and venture a guess as to why Musical Theatre is so looked down upon today? Best answer gets 10 points!
