Would you give your neighbor a cup of sugar OR would you help them put up the for sale sign?

For sure, give them a cup of sugar! I only have one house near me and the older (older than me) couple who live in it are the greatest people. They don't have any pets but they buy dog treats to give to my dog and they are always doing nice things for me. When I had to have a new well dug and was without water for a couple of days they ran a hose from their outside spigot through my kitchen window! I wouldn't trade them for anyone else.

Live in the country so neighbor's are far away, but would help them put up the for sale sign or give them a cup of sugar if they wanted it.

I would do both. If my neighbor were moving and wanted help putting up the for sale sign, certainly I would help out. And, if my neighbor needed a cup of sugar, I have extra in my house, and sugar is cheap. Hence, I would just give him or her the cup of sugar.

I would give them a cup of sugar. We all have lived here for years and we help each other out all the time. I live in the country so I am talking about my neighbors for miles around !!! lol

Oh the sugar of course. I've always liked my neighbors where ever I have lived...even the weird ones were sweet, weird but sweet. I've been lucky as I have always been a homeowner, never a renter and I do believe it does make a difference if you can choose. But I must say that if I was a renter...I'd still give the sugar or whatnot.

The neighbor to the west would definitely get a for sale sign. But for the rest of my street, I would give each and every one of them a 10 lb. bag of sugar!!!! CJ

When I was growing up we had neighbors that sent their kids over to borrow sugar, milk, an egg even. Maybe mom was in the middle of cooking a cake and realized she'd forgotten to buy eggs etc.
We were happy to share if we had the item. In return if we ran out we borrowed as well.
We didn't have to worry that it was poisoned,we knew all our neighbors as friends.
Yes I would give my neighbor a cup of sugar, even if I didn't like them a lot. If they need it, they need it, maybe sharing it with them might open the door to a better friendship even.

Sad to say, all of my neighbors are older than me, and I rarely see them. But, if I did, I would give them a cup of sugar or a helping hand.

I would gladly give someone a cup of sugar, milk, eggs whatever they need if I have it. There used to be a lot of that going on when I was a kid. I don't think people do it anymore. I would be irritated if it became a habit though
