My husbands grandmother died, 2nd death for his family in less than a month, we went to the funeral, and then afterwards spent a couple days with his family, as did 6 of his siblings all in their 40's or 50's, his mom had about 8-10 people crashing at her place for a week, she gave up her bed(their house is 850 sq ft or so) and everything. We stayed in a hotel with our kids because we did not want to impose. While there I accidently overheard a conversation between his mom and her sister, she said she did not know how she was going to have enough food for the rest of the month until the next pension check and ssi check came(she is too proud to get food stamps or anything) no one had brought anything but pies and sweets and had been eating there for almost a week(about 15-20 people were there every meal) so instead of buying agift and flower arrangement we bought groceries
his mom was a bit flustered but thanked us but later several people bit my head off about it was I wrong?

My husband and I have separated and he is living with his mistress he has had for awhile. Everyone is stressed and our daughter is experiencing the worst of it. I don't want her to be around the other woman, the other woman doesn't know how to act around our daughter, and my husband is uncomfortable with all of it. What can we do to make this easy for everyone? We are planning on getting a divorce soon, but I just want some advice. I'm stressed out and am afraid that it's affect her well being.

My boys, ages 6 and 8, have lately been refusing to shower in the morning and throwing fits about it. They have to shower in the morning because they are bedwetters and I don't want them to smell like pee.

This morning I had to literally throw my youngest in the shower. How can i get them to shower in the morning and not fight it?

And then thaws out again?

There's a project starting in May 2008 in a lab in Switzerland where they are going to try and test this theory. Some say that it may create some kind of black hole or something to where it will be possible to destroy Earth and possibly the entire universe. But, since it's never happened, no one really know what it will do. Just dandy, if you ask me.

friends w/benefits? I've known this guy a couple months now. When we first started talking he said he wanted to be friends w/benefits. Now, I know the "true" meaning of that means no emotional attachment. But we talk everyday, he says he has feelings for me(which I thought was a no-no in these sort of things)& tells me he misses me & can't wait to see me & wants to spend more time w/me. He has also said before though, that he isn't looking for a serious relationship. So if he doesn't want to be serious right now & it seems that the rules of fwb have been broken what are we now? I know whatever our relationship is it doesn't have to be labeled as far as I'm concerned..I'm just wondering. I haven't been divorced real long & I'm back to being single, so just curious.

My best friend is 17, she's a girl. She loves the color green, and candy. My mom loves dying her hair, and she loves frogs, and pampering herself.

Who would win a fight between Mr. Rogers without his sweater, Chuck Norris with narcolepsy, or a giant brown recluse spider with an Ipod?

I don't want to give them to the Library because they will sell them for a dollar. My books are read once and put in a book case. I would like to give them to a group of folks who loves to read but can not afford books.

*****
Appeasement

There’s a patch in the corner of my garden
Filled with carrots and turnips and rutabaga
Underground goodies, row after row
All planted there for my little blue mole…

*****
Mole’ Sauce

Who dug all these holes
That little blue mole
She’s busy at my bulbs, I see
The Crocuses are yummy
Tulips fill her tummy
Daffodils, Peonies, Begonias
Gooder than cheese and bologna
Dahlias are oniony, she cries
Hyacinths and Hostas are quite mild
Iris and Lily, they all make her silly
Caladiums, they just drive her wild

I have little interest in what the dolphins actually do but as a football fan, i do find it perplexing that a guy who's team is 1-13 still has a job. Even if he is under contract, there must be a way to get rid of him or at least take away all of his power.

My desktop at work has a hardwired LAN and a wireless LAN connection. I need the hardwired connection to access management software for my company, but I need the wireless connection for internet access. How do I set up the two to play nicely together? As of right now, I have to disable one connection in order to use the other.
