1. 105 kg running back runs out of bounds at 8 m/s and collides with a 50 kg cheerleader at rest. If the final velocity of the running back is 5 m/s, what is the magnitude of the resulting velocity of the cheerleader after the collision?

2. A rollercoaster car is coasting at 7 m/s when it collides with 4 rollercoaster cars at rest. They couple after colliding. What is the magnitude of their resulting velocity? Name whether it is going forward or backward as well.

3. Two billiard balls of equal mass are on a billiard table. One ball is set in motion so that it strikes the second ball off center. The second ball travels 53 degrees to the left with a velocity of 6 m/s while the first ball travels 37 degrees to the right with a velocity of 8 m/s. Determine the magnitude of the velocity of the first ball prior to the collision.

The reason I don't know how to do these is because I don't know the equation!!! Thanks!

Ok so I had a problem with my car a few days ago, & I asked a question & now I have another one. Now the right tire won't spin, you can hear it trying to do something it sounds like rattling down there by the (right) tire. I had to put it in neutral and have it pushed into a parking spot cause it won't move. My dad said it is probably the CV Joint completely broke, but I just want some other opinions. I know it needs shocks/struts, because every time I hit the most simple bump it scrapes like you couldn't imagine. But that just started recently too, so I don't know if something happened that made everything break at once? I'm not a bad driver, I'm cautious going over bumps & I'm not a speed demon or anything. It's a '93 Intrepid. Any opinions would be sooooo appreciated. Thanks!!

My 4 month old baby used to take 30 minutes or so to eat. Lately, he doesn't seem as interested in nursing, and will only spend 15 or 20 minutes nursing. I'm worried he will not get as much to eat. Is this normal?

why not pursue further studies and become richer? Why not tour the world? Why not buy a bigger apartment? what guarantee is there that your child would not grow up to become a self-centered adult (which most of us are anyway)?
What have WE done to our parents anyway? HONEST REPLY please.. We all grow up to become selfish anyway... Right? Why then do some parents (esp. mothers) entertain this Utopian and visionary dream that their newborn/unborn bany would grow up to be another sacrificial saint? They are setting themselves up for disappointment. Why not work hard and play hard?

Ok im built my log cabin its about 20 fet by 20 feet....took me long hours .Gained plenty of muscle...and the hard part was no help..

The problem is heating the damn thing during this winter... any suggestions?

I was thinking about putting a Barrel of Water above a fire pit and conecting pvc pipe to the barral and making a, I guess you could say, cork screw up the inside of the wall's ...think it will heat it up?

Any suggestions?

My daugther was born 14 weeks early, had first period 12 weeks later, every 4 weeks have had period (one month regular, one month light), then this month have been bleeding really lightly for 3 weeks. not sure what is going on. I don't have insurance, so a regular doctor is out of the question.

Whenever your children are out of control,
you can take comfort from the thought that
even God's omnipotence did not extend
to His own children.

After creating heaven and earth,
God created Adam and Eve.


And the first thing he said was



"DON'T! "


"Don't what? "Adam replied.


"Don't eat the forbidden fruit."God said.



"Forbidden fruit?
We have forbidden fruit?



Hey Eve..we have forbidden fruit! "

"No Way!

"Yes way!


"Do NOT eat the fruit! "said God.



"Why? "



"Because I am your Father and I said so! " God replied,
wondering why He hadn't stopped creation after making the elephants.

A few minutes later,
God saw His children having an apple break and He was ticked!

"Didn't I tell you not to eat the fruit ? "God asked.


"Uh huh,"Adam replied.


"Then why did you? " said the Father.

"I don't know," said Eve.



"She started it! "Adam said.
"Did not! "

"Did too! "
"DID NOT!"


Having had it with the two of them,
God's punishment was that Adam and Eve
should have children of their own.

Thus the pattern was set and it has never changed.




BUT THERE IS REASSURANCE IN THE STORY!

If you have persistently and lovingly tried to give children wisdom and they haven't taken it,

don't be hard on yourself.
If God had trouble raising children,
what makes you think it would be a piece of cake for you?

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT !

1. You spend the first two years of their life

teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up.

2. Grandchildren are God's reward for not killing your own children.

3. Mothers of teens now know why some animals eat their young.

4. Children seldom misquote you.
In fact,
they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.
5. The main purpose of holding children's parties

is to remind yourself that there are children
more awful than your own.

6. We childproofed our homes, but they are still getting in.



ADVICE FOR THE DAY:

Be nice to your kids.
They will choose your nursing home one day.

AND FINALLY:

IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TENSION

Ok so here is the deal. My boyfriend I am are ready to buy, but our credit is poor. We have found our dream home and had given up the idea that we could have it... So I called the realtor that owns the property, as she and her husband built this entire neighborhood, and asked if she had any rental property available, (because she has discriminating taste and I know she would have something to suit my taste. ) She asked if we would be interested in a lease with an option to buy, I said possibly and we scheduled a time to meet with her, which is tomorrow. We need about 2 years to get our credit in order and we also WANT to sign a 2 year lease as we both have stable jobs and want out of the city. This house is in a suburb in which he works as a police officer, in a gated community which means I will feel 100x more safe at night while he works 3rd shift. What I need to know is what I can expect to be discussed and what is standard in these types of deals. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

How much time would someone get (approx.) with a dui and hit and run with bodily injuries with a prior hit and run (misdemeaner) 8 1/2years ago. Now these both are felonies?
