To those of us who have children in our lives,
whether they are our own,
grandchildren,
nieces,
nephews,
or students...
here is something to make you chuckle.

Whenever your children are out of control,
you can take comfort from the thought that
even God's omnipotence did not extend
to His own children.

After creating heaven and earth,
God created Adam and Eve.

And the first thing he said was

"DON'T! "

"Don't what? "Adam replied.

"Don't eat the forbidden fruit."God said.

"Forbidden fruit?
We have forbidden fruit?

Hey Eve..we have forbidden fruit! "

"No Way!

"Yes way!

"Do NOT eat the fruit! "said God.

"Why? "

"Because I am your Father and I said so! " God replied,
wondering why He hadn't stopped creation after making the elephants.

A few minutes later,
God saw His children having an apple break and He was ticked!

"Didn't I tell you not to eat the fruit ? "God asked.

"Uh huh,"Adam replied.

"Then why did you? " said the Father.

"I don't know," said Eve.

"She started it! "Adam said.
"Did not! "

"Did too! "
"DID NOT!"

Having had it with the two of them,
God's punishment was that Adam and Eve
should have children of their own.

Thus the pattern was set and it has never changed.

BUT THERE IS REASSURANCE IN THE STORY!

If you have persistently and lovingly tried to give children wisdom and they haven't taken it,

don't be hard on yourself.
If God had trouble raising children,
what makes you think it would be a piece of cake for you?

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT !

1. You spend the first two years of their life

teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up.

2. Grandchildren are God's reward for not killing your own children.

3. Mothers of teens now know why some animals eat their young.

4. Children seldom misquote you.
In fact,
they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.
5. The main purpose of holding children's parties

is to remind yourself that there are children
more awful than your own.

6. We childproofed our homes, but they are still getting in.

ADVICE FOR THE DAY:

Be nice to your kids.
They will choose your nursing home one day.

AND FINALLY:

IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TENSION
AND YOU GET A HEADACHE,
DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE ASPIRIN BOTTLE:

"TAKE TWO ASPIRIN"
AND "KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN"!!!!!

VERY TRUE!! I never thought of it that way. I am hard on myself when it comes to my children but what right do I have to "try" and be the perfect parent when God had a hard time.
Something to ponder and remember!
Thank You...
Blessings and Merry Christmas!

Very amusing! It really hits home. Listening to Adam and Eve point fingers is very much like the sibling rivalry that every parent dreads dealing with.

God bless you and have a wonderful Christmas!

to be honest, i find it a bit annoying how with some posted questions, especially annoying ones, there have been all or almost all female users replying to it. i hate how with some posted questions, it seems very few, if any, female users reply to it, especially if it’s one being directed as gals themselves and trying to get them to justify their faults or things they did that were unacceptable, yet then there are unpleasant questions like these posted, yet there’s not a single male user to reply to you and tell you what they think and with how awful this question is. this guy "Dwasifar K" was the only male use to reply to it, besides me as well as i'm a male user and i'm replying to this today in janaury of 2015. the reality is that since guys actually care more about women(even random women they don’t know) than kids, women should care more about guys(even random guys they don’t know) than kids, so this posted question of yours is annoying as you seem to be putting too much care and emphasis on kids than guys. guys would rather be posting more random questions about women(even if it’s about women they never even met and don’t even know) than kids, so women should prefer posting random questions about guys(even if it’s about guys they never even met and don’t even know) than kids. i hate how there seems to be too many f#cking cases of women wrongfully bad-mouthing guys for no reason. it pis#es me off, because there are women who’ve done bad, awful, wrongful thing as well. there are women who’ve done bad things and have wronged guys, yet you don’t see tons and tons of guys all over talking about women like they’re the scum of the earth, do you? well, women shouldn’t be talking about guys like that either. if women are so caring and compassionate like they like to claim that they are, then they should care about guys as much as they do each other. guys care about women, so women should care about guys. also, since guys would rather have the company of and sit next to and talk to random women they don’t know than random guys they don’t know, women should prefer the company of and sit next to and talk to random guys they don’t know than random women they don’t know. anyway, i think you get the point.

Where is the poem? All I see is an anecdote and a few aphorisms.
