I'm writing a 7-10 page research paper on Thomas Jefferson's presidency. I need to come up with my own thesis, and it cannot be something as simple as proving whether or not he was effective as a President. Does anybody have any idea for what my thesis could be?

On birth control are you still protected the entire last week (of inactive pills) even if you stopped bleeding after the first three days? This means you go for several DAYS on inactive pills, what if you begin to ovulate during this time?

So other that the fact that:

1) Women are treated like animals
2) People are said to have lived unimaginable durations of time and many other facts appear to be in contrast with what Science has prove.
3) Slavery was accepted
4) You were supposed to kill witches, people who commit adultery, homosexuals, people who have sex with a woman while she is on her period, your children if they disobeyed, anyone that worked on Sunday and, in general,anyone your loving God hated...

Why shouldn't people live their lives by the Bible? I mean really, can you think of a reason? Please put verses if possible. Thanks...

Sorry about the repost, but the original wasn't getting hits..

I've been talking to this girl for a while. We are both really into each other, and I like her a lot. We are both young adults, and we have both had sex before. I have only been with 1 girl, whom I really cared about. We are both trying to be completely honest with each other. She recently told me that since her last serious relationship, she has done more things with more guys than she is proud of (possibly due to depression/self-esteem issues). It really bothers me, and I don't really know how to react, or how to handle the situation. She is well aware that I have a problem with it. I think part of my problem with it may be my own insecurities. I think I'm worried about "stepping up to the bar" in bed, so to speak. (Both anatomically and physically.) How should I feel about this and what should I do? Serious answers only please!!!

My computer crashed yesterday and I used system restore to fix the issue. The problem was that this being my entertainment computer, ALL of my files are gone, as are the programs, I am going to reinstall itunes, but the fear I have is that the very rare songs I have on my ipod now, will vanish the second I connect it to the reinstalled itunes and I will have to really start all over. What can I do to prevent this, or am I fearing over nothing.

So i am 13 and soon i will be 14. i will get a dog soon. i am in love with dobermans. i have one and he is the best dog ever. but since i already have one i would like a different breed. i live on a 5 acers and have a large fenced in feild that has a gate around it and 2 other dogs in it so the dog would need to be ok with other dogs. i love big dogs. i would prefer one with hair no longer then a german shepard. i would like it to be a little pertective. i would be able to get it out for about 2-3 hours a day and i know how to take care of dogs. i would like it to be a obeident dog because i would like to keep it off the leash at my house i dont have any little siblings and well if anyone has any suggestions on a breed please tell me.

Why should we have the Democratic and Republican parties instead of choosing the right guy/woman?

for example:

people who are democratic vote only for democrats not even giving a republican a chance? or the other way around theres no difference. To me i think people should stop voting for sum1 jus b/c they are democtratic/republican, and look at the 1 who will lead this country right.

I have huge bright stretch marks on my breasts, hips, thighs, and arms. I dont have them on my stomach, but my breasts are the ones I am most worried about. In my school club, we have to wear a tanktop which is lowcut and a medium jean skirt. Its a club my friends started and I want to be in it but I dont want to tell them that I can wear the shirts because of my hidious boobs! My friends can wear them because they dont seem to have them but I do and I just wanted to know how to get rid of them. They are wide, long and really bright purplish red. I have a boyfriend and he is my bff's brother and im scared that if I tell her why I cant wear the shirt then she will tell him and he wont want to date me anymore because we have been dating for about 3 years and we love eachother and we have been talking about having sex, but im really self concious about them and im scared he will not want to do it and he will make fun of me and break up with me. Most of the boys I know are like that.

I am the second oldest of five. I asked a question before on Yahoo! Answers about my being overprotective of my baby sister. So many have said that my siblings and I are on equal ground.

Would you really agree with that? Whenever my younger brothers and sister crack an attitude with me, I scold them with a firm voice telling them they need to treat me with honor and respect because I am their older brother.

My little sister used to treat me like her same-age friend or something. I swiftly reprimanded her for her attitude and reminded her that I am her older brother. She is 11 and I am 20. That will always be the case.

Am I being too domineering?
