You can't see evidence that they're true. You can't personally do any experiments proving them. You probably don't know enough physics to read the scientific journals and decide the issue for yourself.

You have only the word of the scientific community. And there are scientific "skeptics" about those topics too.

So, do you not believe in them either?

Or, if you do, why is global warming different?

Capitalism is cyclic, we're due for a recession. Wouldn't it be better to just let it happen so we can recover, rather than taking little steps to keep it at bay so when it finally does happen, it's 10x worse to get out of? We've been teetering on the edge for several years now, and the economy has just gotten worse, the housing market, inflation, etc. Just curious as to what others think.

My husband's mom, started having some issues a month ago and found out she had a brain tumor. They removed it last week. We just got the results back that it is milignent, and that it will come back. They have given her 6 months to 1 year. My husband has never dealt with losing someone. All of his grandparents are still alive. He is going through an extremely hard time right now. I know I can't take the pain away, but does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to make him feel better? He called me from work crying,,,and I just have this huge lump in my throat and want to help or just to let him know I'm here for him. Please-any suggestions welcome. Thank you in advance. God Bless.

...not to say "Merry Christmas" since it might OFFEND people. I said "Sure, as long as I have the right to say I am offended when they say "Happy Holiday" to me." I was offended that they would even ask. What do you think?

I'm getting married April 12, 2008, almost exactly 4 months from now. I have 2 adult bridesmaids and two Jr. bridesmaids.

One of my bridesmaids is trying to get pregnant. My agreement with my girls is that they all choose a dress in Peri from David's bridal. I don't care what style..No special accessories or anything...Just a Peri David's Bridal dress and silver or clear shoes.

My bridesmaid doesn't want to order a dress until February, to see if she is pregnant by then. David's doesn't make a maternity gown in Peri. February. is going to be too late, since it takes 6 weeks to ship the gown, leaving NO time for alterations.

I've already suggested ordering a dress a size or two larger. She says that would be too expensive to alter.

Her solution? I'm supposed to let her have her husband sew her a maternity gown. We're having this whole issue, and she is NOT EVEN PREGNANT.

She is now dropping out of the wedding.
What would you do, if this happened to you??

A husband and wife are sitting quietly in bed reading when the

Wife looks over at him and asks the question....

WIFE: "What would you do if I died? Would you get married again?"

HUSBAND: "Definitely not!"

WIFE: "Why not? Don't you like being married?"

HUSBAND: "Of course I do."

WIFE: "Then why wouldn't you remarry?"

HUSBAND: "Okay, okay, I'd get married again."

WIFE: "You would?" (with a hurt look)

HUSBAND: (makes audible groan)

WIFE: "Would you live in our house?"

HUSBAND: "Sure, it's a great house."

WIFE: "Would you sleep with her in our bed?"

HUSBAND: "Where else would we sleep?"

WIFE: "Would you let her drive my car?"

HUSBAND: "Probably, it is almost new."

WIFE: "Would you replace my pictures with hers?"

HUSBAND: "That would seem like the proper thing to do."

WIFE: "Would you give her my jewelry?"

HUSBAND: "No, I'm sure she'd want her own."

WIFE: "Would she use my golf clubs?"

HUSBAND: "No, she's left-handed. "

WIFE: -- silence --

HUSBAND: "sh*t."

Windows Vista service pack 1 increases Vista's speed by 15-20 seconds and also backs up more compatibility exspecially for third party developers, more sercurity, support for 3D 10.1, it starts up in half then normal time, and more. It will be releasing early next year in January. Can't wait!!!

Now I have a question.

I have Vista Premium already so when the service pack one comes out how does it affect my computer after download? Does it automatically reinstall the system or something?

Also I already like Vista enough and have no compatibility issues but I want SP1 mainly for more speed.

Being the son of God, it seems ridiculous, even blasphemous, to claim otherwise than that Jesus was the hottest guy who has ever lived. God resembles man, or rather the reverse, since we were cast in His image. God must appear human, but, since He is perfect, He must be inconceivably attractive. His son must have inherited God's sexiness, perhaps watered down a little by Mary's genes, but still enough to make him the hotter than Johnny Depp and Michael Jackson combined.

Now, I suppose an extension of this question would be: Is it blasphemous to be turned on by Jesus, or is it blasphemous not to be turned on by Jesus (e.g. thinking Brad Pitt is hotter than Jesus)?
