Don't waste your time with the old saw about pushing away from the dinner table. I know about that.

I remember a Nordic Track skiing machine from years ago, where you could stand upright and if you stopped moving, you would still be stable and not fall over. I can't deal with tread mills for that reason. Nordic Track has been redesigned since I tried it in the mid-1990s.

So what would work that won't be too horribly expensive, and wouldn't require I get down near the floor, like a rowing machine? Are there stationary bikes with extra wide seats, like a tractor seat?

You visit your favorite bakery and decide to buy four cookies. The bakery sells three different types of cookies: chocolate chip, peanut butter, and sugar cookies with sprinkles. How many different four cookie selections can you select from this bakery? For example, one selection could be two chocolate chip, one peanut butter, and one sugar cookie with sprinkles.

My period is 16 days late. I went off the patch in mid october. Always had a normal, on time period. I took a HPT test on Sunday but it came out negative. I have the pregnancy symptoms but now they also could be period symptoms. If I dont get it by the end of the week I would like to go to the doc to get test. Do you think that is to soon? SHould I wait to see if I miss a 2nd period. Can I have a false negaitve? Can it be to early to tell? I heard the dr takes blood to see, does it take long for the results?

IF A CHILD IS 6 YEARS OLD, HAS BEEN WITH GRANDMOTHER SINCE BIRTH, THERE IS REASON TO BELIEVE THAT THE FATHER OF SAID CHILD WAS 13 AT TIME OF CONCEPTION. THE MOTHER WAS 18 (DAUGHTER OF SAID GRANDMOTHER). FATHER IS WILLING TO COME FORWARD IF NEEDED. WOULD WE BE ABLE TO USE THIS TO BATTLE FOR ADOPTION SO THE GRANDMOTHER CAN KEEP THE CHILD. THE MOTHER HAS NEVER PHYSICALLY, EMOTIONALLY, OR FINANICALLY BEEN THERE FOR SAID CHILD.

Our planet has gone through many climate changes in the past. Both hotter and colder than it is right now. So what should Earth's Optimal Global Climate be? And are you sure we had been living during that optimal climate?

Outside of Wrestlemania, I Belive That was The Greatest Pay Per Veiw That WWE Had in YEARS. Look at The Match Card: Masato Tanaka vs. Mike Awesome..Match of The Night, Eddie Guererro vs. Chris Beniot A Very Emotional Match And a Great One at That, Lance Storm vs. "Lion Hart" Chris Jericho. Look at The History Between Those Two Without Each other They Wouldnt Be Wrestlers. And Those are Only The Matches. The Promos Were Sick And The Storyline Leading up To it Was Great. The Pay Per Veiw Was a Winner.

Your Thoughts?

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson went on a camping trip. After a good meal and a bottle of wine, they were exhausted and went to sleep.
Some hours later, Holmes awoke and nudged his faithful friend.

"Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see."

Watson replied, "I see millions and millions of stars."

"What does that tell you?" Holmes said Watson pondered for a minute.

"Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Timewise, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, I can see that The lord is all powerful and that we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have, a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?"

Holmes was silent for a minute, then spoke. "Watson, you idiot, Some ------- has stolen our tent."

I'm quite frustrated with the situation I'm in. I don't know if I'm wrong or right...let me give a background. My husband and I met in college, fell in love, had a 6 yr relnship(got engaged also). His parents broke our engagement, he broke off with me, but after 2 months, we got together again and eloped, and had a very happy marriage for 4 years. Now his parents came to help us shift into a new house we had bought, and they are still there for nearly a year and the shifting is done. There was no prior discussion on their stay. We had a lot of fights since they arrived as they are interfering and commanding around the house and I don't like it. It feels like their house not mine. My husband blames me for mostly everything. we fight a lot and he talks of seperating and asked me to leave the house in front of his parents. I have learnt to ignore some things. But when I voice an opinion, he usually gets angry and stops communicating with me. I think I'm being taken for granted

I have a very high vaulted ceiling. The ceiling is like that in the living room and kitchen...which is basically one big room. In the kitchen there is a ceiling fan. With it being winter in here Nebraska I want to keep as much heat in the house as possible! I know heat rises, so should I have my ceiling fan going clockwise or counter clock wise? Or should I leave it off?? Please help!

By concussion grenade, I'm talking the textbook kind. The shock-wave kind as opposed to the Flash-bang kind. I know they can cause massive internal bleeding, but I don't know what range.
I need 3 ranges:
Killing-range (As in, immediate death.)
Lethal-range (Probably gonna die due to injury.)
Injury-range (Low chance of death.)
I'm writing a story and I don't want to skimp on details... Somehow I think posting this on Yahoo answers seems to contradict that..

Before you ask why this is in this category, read the whole argument.

You wouldn't find a single scientific study that can prove that second hand smoke is bad for you, because it's impossible to empirically measure the amount of second hand smoke you can receive in your life while controlling for other factors like smog and pollution.
We do know that smoking (first hand smoke) is bad for you, and we also have a preponderance of OBSERVATIONAL data and CIRCUMSTANTIAL evidence that leads researchers to the conclusion (or hypothesis) that second hand smoke is bad. But in truth, we have no actual, real, PROOF of it, and we never will.

So if there is no scientific proof, why believe it?
*cough, cough*

Seriously is this the proof we need that Bush lied yet?

Or do we have to invent the time machine and go back to see him lie to be sure?

I'm an English teacher in France and working on Northern Ireland with my students, and more specifically murals in Northern Ireland.

I've found quite a lot of pictures of murals with 6-pointed stars.

Am I right in thinking it represents the 6 counties of Northern Ireland?
Or am I completely off the point?
